GBThe one day course is a great way to get the ball rolling. I have worked in production for most of my adult life. However, I always wanted to be involved in the writing process and have played with the idea for many years. I signed up to the Script Reading course which was an excellent introduction to that side of the industry. The tutor was friendly, engaging and clearly knowledgeable with plenty of practical experience in the field. More than anything the day was a source of inspiration and an affirmation that I am determined to push on with my career change.

GBScript Reading Course A very worthwhile course. Lots packed into the day, all useful information, and a really great tutor in Rob. My only gripe would be that some of the handouts with industry data were out of date, originating from 2014 & 2015. However, this shouldn't detract from a good course and credit should be made for the fact that it was constantly reiterated that getting a job as a script reader isn't easy and this course is not a golden ticket into those jobs. Highly recommended.

GBScript Reading Course A very full day covering lots of ground but kept entertaining by a great teacher and lots of clip examples. Was impressed by how many documents and scripts they gave us to take away. Very poor feedback on post-course assignment - no reply to original submission email or several emails since.

GBA great step forward I found it very intense but helpful in thinking about script reading analytically. There was a lot of good information on books to read and a great list about companies to contacts, which is invaluable. There was also some very insightful information about different genres and how to approach story structures. Although I'm still daunted by the prospect of how to analyse scripts well, I think this course broke down the basics and is a sturdy stepping stone. Also a great place to meet likeminded readers/writers. A great start. I would highly recommend it.
