USGood experience, but way higher then FMV I've always had good experiences with Winebid with bidding and shipping. For lower priced wines under $300, you will still pay a premium through Winebid. But for higher priced collector wines, sellers set their minimum bid at current fair market value or slightly higher. In other words, sellers are really listing their wine for sale at current (or even higher) fair market value (which already considers the cost of auction fees). Tack on the Winebid 17% buyer fee and you're paying way more than professional auction houses who appropriately set starting bids lower....i.e., so it's an auction, not a sale plus 17%. Anyone who buys at Winebid for investment should seriously reconsider their thought process.

USCounterfeit concern I buy from winebid.com very often, maybe every week and expensive wines. My concern is the counterfeit wines. I'm not saying that I have noticed anything wrong, but I'm concerned how good and how carefully their specialists are looking at the wines. How do they make sure that the wine are legit? Other than this concern,I'm happy with winebid..

USRock Solid Costumer Services I have been buying a lot from them for over a year already, 99% of the bottles have arrived in perfect conditions and as described. I think they have amazing capabilities and features like, high resolution photos for each bottle, accurate descriptions, and professional scores with notes, value and sales prices history. You can sort your searches by scores, popularity, do a price range, country, regions, style, you named it. But what I’m more impress with is their costumer services. I have interacted with a couple of people there and they always find the way to help, my favorite contact is Debbie, so far there has been NOTHING that she can’t fix, she has always made it right even in the most strangest situation created by myself (errors).

USFun way to buy older wine! So far I’ve bought over 50 bottles in varying ages and prices and I could Not be happier. The shipping takes a bit of time but the bottles show up still cold and well packed. The only complaint I have Is that I have A hobby that is now way too expensive and my wine storage capacity had to be upgraded to accommodate. If you like trying older vintages and bottles you will never see in a wine shop this is a heck of a lot of fun. A lot of what I’ve bought is under $50 a bottle and I’ve found some amazing gems.

USExperienced Customer of Winebid I have been buying on Winebid for over 5 years. I am certain I have bought over 400 bottles. I believe only one of the bottles was skunked. I have used their filters to create my favorites, and enjoy looking at the weekly updates. Knowing the buyers premium is part of the cost, I have found numerous bottles at 50% off retail or more. Now when you bid it advise you of the premium and the only hidden cost is shipping ($5/bottle). I think it is a fabulous site. Separately a close friend of mine died, and his wife had no interest in his Wine cellar. Numerous local lowball quotes from retailers resulted in me pointing her to WineBid. She sold over 700 bottles and netted well over 2x what her best local offer was. I think the site is fabulous.
