Love the freshness and flavors I have been using meal kits weekly for probably five years now. Your boxes have the freshest ingredients I’ve ever had with a meal kit company. It is a new diet for me, so I am exploring new things, and you’re providing an excellent resource for that. I have, however, had a minor ingredient that was either missing or not as described in the booklet you send on a couple occasions. These are the ones that I have not received an email notification for, which those are always appreciated. Even though the kits are more expensive than others, I feel they are worth the extra money. I continue to look forward to getting your unique and fresh boxes weekly.

So…I’ve never really been one to cook… So…I’ve never really been one to cook meals but with Purple Carrot I find myself looking forward to opening a new kit and getting to it! It’s easy and fun at the same time…I really can’t explain it but it is. On top of that, the recipes that are put together are just amazing, full of flavor and texture. Every time we sit down for dinner we are completely blown away at how tasty the meals are and just when we think we’ve found our favorite, we are taken back again. Thanks for making meals fun again and delicious on top of that!

Just signed up and received my first… Just signed up and received my first box which was just a pile of spinach and lettuce. I did not get the meals I had selected. Same day received an email about my box arriving next week. I did not want a box next week! When I signed up, I went through and skipped to every other week. It was quite a process as I had to fill out a form explaining why every time, so I know I did it. When I reached out to customer service, the only way is through chat, they said I did not skip! Tried to show me screen shots. The chat was not helpful and the company is obviously making it difficult to skip, communicate and order what you want so I have cancelled. Hopefully! Beware, this company is not customer friendly and is going to send you food you did not order.

Better vegetation meal kits Overall, I like Purple Carrot. But I have had some issues. 3-4 times the food included has been unusable. Cauliflower has been yellowed and some black, Scallions withered, and on one occasion the kit included radishes for slaw. Only instead of 4 radishes there was only one. I believe you need quality control where ever the kits are put together.

We had a substitute that was nasty We had a substitute that was nasty. That sucks, and we paid for it. If you're subbing meals you guys should pay for them or just don't send anything. Edit: had already reached out to purple carrot support before posting this review. Was told that they don't refund substitutions except in cases of allergy. After a lot of back and forth they made it clear there was nothing they'd do about this, and that its just a part of their distribution model. I'm a little put off by their reply suggesting I reach out to their support team since they already know that they weren't going to fix it.
