GBShockingly disappointed in their… Shockingly disappointed in their website sign up process and horrible chat/service request process. I was so excited to start a subscription but they've ruined it. Their horrific marketing strategy is aggressive. Despite the tasty meal options I would never use such an intolerably aggressive company. Don't be fooled by them, they are definitely selling information and using the survey questions to profile and sell. They also make it so hard to cancel your subscription and close out service request before they're processed, its a very shady company. Any company that makes it hard to get help or close an account tend not to be forthright. They respond to reviews in hours but they can't make a functional website that is ethical.

GBdo NOT use Purple Carrot do not use Purple Carrot. I consistently had rotten produce. I canceled after several boxes that were bad and my card had not been charged yet for the box and the order had not shipped, but I was a few hours outside of their cancellation window and they would not do anything to help me, I got the box and again had rotten produce in every kit and they still would only refund me a few dollars for the ingredients that were spoiled, but that left me with a box that could not be used. Don’t buy into it. It’s a terrible company.

GBSo far so good. Purple Carrot has been pretty good so far. The meals have been great (sometimes could use a squeeze or lemon or lime). They've been easy to make and very flavorful! The customer service has been ok, just a little different from other meal delivery services. We had an issue with a missing ingredient and instead of a credit for the meal, it was just for the missing ingredient. Luckily we had something close enough to sub with, otherwise we would have needed to find time to go shopping.

GBWe had a substitute that was nasty We had a substitute that was nasty. That sucks, and we paid for it. If you're subbing meals you guys should pay for them or just don't send anything. Edit: had already reached out to purple carrot support before posting this review. Was told that they don't refund substitutions except in cases of allergy. After a lot of back and forth they made it clear there was nothing they'd do about this, and that its just a part of their distribution model. I'm a little put off by their reply suggesting I reach out to their support team since they already know that they weren't going to fix it.

GBConsistently bad ingredients and not… Consistently bad ingredients and not enough ingredients. EXAMPLE: Recipe calls for 1/4 cups jam, they give you 1 tbsp. Vegetables arrive moldy and/or wilted. They ruin an entire meal with lack of ingredient or expired ingredients, they will not refund the entire meal, they will only refund you minimally for the bad ingredient.
