Avocado I think the biggest issue is with avocados. I know it can be difficult to get them ripe or close to ripeness when shipping but always appear to be unripe and hard when delivered and would take too long to ripen as the other veggies would go bad. Reexamine the avocado recipes and perhaps use guacamole for some recipes instead.

skeptical husband has been wowed by Purple Carrot The meals from Purple Carrot are like going out to dinner! The entrees are creative, multi-layered in their flavors, easy to prepare and made with quality ingredients. My husband was skeptical at first about eating vegan, but he been wowed by these dinners and now looks forward to them. And I love having someone else make the decision about what to make for dinner!

Better vegetation meal kits Overall, I like Purple Carrot. But I have had some issues. 3-4 times the food included has been unusable. Cauliflower has been yellowed and some black, Scallions withered, and on one occasion the kit included radishes for slaw. Only instead of 4 radishes there was only one. I believe you need quality control where ever the kits are put together.

Shockingly disappointed in their… Shockingly disappointed in their website sign up process and horrible chat/service request process. I was so excited to start a subscription but they've ruined it. Their horrific marketing strategy is aggressive. Despite the tasty meal options I would never use such an intolerably aggressive company. Don't be fooled by them, they are definitely selling information and using the survey questions to profile and sell. They also make it so hard to cancel your subscription and close out service request before they're processed, its a very shady company. Any company that makes it hard to get help or close an account tend not to be forthright. They respond to reviews in hours but they can't make a functional website that is ethical.

Consistently bad ingredients and not… Consistently bad ingredients and not enough ingredients. EXAMPLE: Recipe calls for 1/4 cups jam, they give you 1 tbsp. Vegetables arrive moldy and/or wilted. They ruin an entire meal with lack of ingredient or expired ingredients, they will not refund the entire meal, they will only refund you minimally for the bad ingredient.
