Teeeible service- Bye bye Christmas Eve dinner Bye bye Christmas Eve dinner! I still don’t have my order, so my comments are about the lack of customer care, communication, and service. I placed an order well in advance for delivery on Dec 21. On Dec 20, I had t received a shipping confirmation, and the dashboard said “suspected fraud.” I was having my order shipped to my Christmas family destination, and although Amex recognized the charge (& their software is likely better that Meat the Butchers), no one from the company had bothered to call. When I called, I was told “Oh _ we were just going to call you to confirm” Maybe - but there’s more. Friday - Fedex updates tracking to now show a Monday, Dec 24 delivery by 8pm. Way too late since we were going to serve the prime rib for Christmas Eve dinner. I received no call explaining what went wrong. I called for the airport as I was traveling out of state, and “ Melissa” tells me she has to transfer me to someone else. No apologies. She puts me on hold for 6 minutes, and then transfers me to her VOICE MAIL! Seriously. I have to call back, and now manager Victor tells me that Fedex never picked up orders on Thursday night. They’re trying to figure out what happened, and trying to get a delivery on Saturday, but no guarantees. As I express my anger and frustration, Victor tells me that I seem to be “bashing” him. I explain the following: - I spent $250 on beef that won’t arrive in time for dinner, so I’ll have to run all over a town I don’t know trying to find a substitute to cook for Christmas Eve. A refund won’t solve that mess. -Don’t just blame Fedex. Their first rep didn’t bother to call about the suspected ‘fraud” - The second rep heard the problem and never once said “I’m so sorry” or “I apologize- let me see how I can help”. She transferred me to her voice mail - essentially hanging up on me. - any company dealing with perishables and time sensitive deliveries light to have contingency plans. They ought to have the phones # for their Fedex rep and as soon as the time passed for pick up should have been on the phone. They could have driven their products from their Vernon store over to Santa Fe Springs CA to the Fedex facility, or tendered to UPS. I’ll be spending tomorrow trying to find a rib roast for dinner. Maybe my order will show up Monday, maybe not. I still have no email apologizing, even though they know the order was screwed up. They claim I’ll get a refund, which likely Amex will have to help with. Maybe their meat is great. But their empathy and concern for customers is horrible, based on my interactions with 3 separate representatives. There are plenty of other high end meat companies, and I’ll never trust these guys with another order. Totally stressful and awful experience.

Outstanding product Outstanding product. Extremely high quality meats that cook beautifully. However the pamphlet stated that the meat would arrive fresh. In the first order both items were frozen solid. In the second order they were a bit solid in the center as if they had thawed so I wasn't sure if I could freeze it or not (especially the fish). It would be helpful to know if I can freeze the items when they arrive.

ahi tuna was gorgeous ahi tuna was gorgeous, great taste and melt in your mouth texture. we fixed the first pork belly crispy, delicious. all products arrived in perfect condition, still cold. Use Meat the Butchers for a delightful dinner or an exquisite gift!

Review your order and recheck. I received my order of carpaccio later than expected. It arrived frozen as they told me it would. However, I was not able to serve it at our party as it was quite brown. If you order carpaccio, it would be wise to make sure they send fresh,( not frozen ), uncut filet. The meat looked like it would have been a beautiful filet had it been shipped fresh. It was well marbled. Unfortunately, I had to throw it away as it could not be used. I have learned my lesson.

Beyond Expectations Best steaks i have ever had at home. The quality was beyond my expectations. I am 100 percent satisfied with my purchase and looking forward to many more. Wagyu top sirloin strongly recommended to friends and family.
