GBGreenroots Living a Life Saver I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in December 2019 which I chose to ignore for a longtime. Pryer to that I was diagnosed with AFIB and was told by my cardiologist to have an ablation, which I also put off to long. When I finally went in for my ablation in June 2021, my A1c was an 11 and my sugar was 325 on the day of my surgery. I was sent home with insulin shots that I had to take four times a day, every meal and also before bedtime. It finally hit me that I was in trouble. To say I was scared is an understatement. I knew I had to do something and face this and that's when one of my friends introduced me to Taylor. From our first consult I knew that she was the one who was going to help me get my health back. Taylor has showed me how to eat to heal my body and I've been making other lifestyle changes with her also. In the first 4 weeks on Taylor's plan, I was off my mealtime insulin and within 8 weeks I came off my bedtime insulin as well. Getting off the meds was absolutely amazing. My glucose levels went from high 200's to 90-100 consistently. My A1c went from an 11 to a 5.8 in just 5 months. I have also lost 87lbs since starting my lifestyle change with Taylor. My energy level went up 100% within a couple of weeks of starting the plan. Before I always felt like I needed a nap all the time and I was always fatigued. Now you can't stop me, and the fatigue is a thing of the past. I feel much lighter mentally and also calm and peaceful. GBChanged my health I'm usually a pretty active person. I'm 72 years old and l I walk, I ski, I bike, I do a lot of different things. But a couple of years ago, I had shoulder surgery and gained some weight as a result of that- and then COVID came in, I gained some more weight. When I started having some health concerns- I was really tired, napping most days, some neuropathy in my lower extremities- I went to the doctor and my A1C level was 11.1 I was just shocked at that point how high it was and was diagnosed with Type 2. My doctor wanted me to start Metformin then and there. But I really didn't want to do that. And then I started reading about type two diabetes and was like, Oh, my God, this stuff is really serious. I could go blind, I could have neuropathy or amputations. Diabetes is insidious so I made the choice to invest in myself and it’s paying dividends for me. I have four children and six grandchildren. I don’t want to be the Grandpa sleeping on the couch. For as many years as I have left, I want to feel as healthy and engage with the world and get out and live as much as possible. In the first 2 months working with Taylor I dropped my A1C from 11.1 down to 6.9 and I’ve lost about 30 pounds- and I was even on vacation for 2 weeks in there. It's amazing. And I still have a way to go because I want to get to below 5.7 and lose some more weight, but I’m already feeling really great. My energy is back and consistent throughout the day and I can be active again without the discomfort. I move around the world easier. Taylor showed me what to eat, and how to keep it simple. I consider myself a survivalist cook- but she helps me keep it easy. When I got the email from my doctor saying I already got it down to 6.9 without medicine, he said ‘I don’t know what you’re doing, but whatever it is, keep doing it.’ Taylor's been a good guide all along the way, very knowledgeable and offers a lot of good support and suggestions to make this lifestyle change work well for me. The group calls are really good because Taylor helps us move past similar hurdles we have, so knowing I’m not alone and seeing others also succeeding is very hopeful. And the one on one time with her is great because she really fine tunes what I’m working on personally so I know exactly what to do. I would encourage anyone standing at this fork in the road to make the choice to better your health and stop trying to research on the internet. GBOH MY GOODNESS IT WORKS! Oh My Goodness... It is working. I released 55 lbs. in the first 8 weeks on the Greenroots eating plan. I am type 2 diabetic on insulin and have struggled getting my blood sugars down. My blood sugars were in the high 300's and sometimes 400's and the medications were just not working. My blood sugars came down within the first two weeks and are averaging between the 70's and 120's; and insulin doses are decreasing. What makes this program so satisfying is the variety of foods including fruits, carbs, etc. and the amazing support. This is a lifetime doable approach to diabetes and weight reduction. GBI have my life back! Four weeks ago, my blood sugar was out of control, I had no energy and was not sure what do do. I saw a Facebook Ad for Greenroots Living and Taylor Reilly. After listening to Taylor’s presentation and then speaking with her personally, I decided to trust her and follow her plan for me. In four days my blood sugar numbers dropped to a normal range! In four weeks, I have lost 10 lbs, I have cut my blood sugar meds in at least half and have more energy than I have had in a long time! Last weekend I played 18 holes of golf on Saturday and Sunday and was not tired!! Four weeks ago I was struggling to just get to the golf course. My prayers were answered when I met Taylor. I am confident, that in a few months, I will no longer be a Type 2 Diabetic!!
