As a homeschool mom I'm always looking for ways to improve my child's language skills, but sometimes it goes beyond our capability. ALS is a cruel disease ALS is a cruel disease. My mum is 83 and had great difficulty speaking and swallowing much of anything. Measured and Amazing! My therapist was amazing. She was cautious to not let your expectations run wild; however, having someone with the speech therapy style of Dr. Mort Cooper, someone who believes a person can completely stop stuttering, could be advantageous.
