ALS is a cruel disease ALS is a cruel disease. My mum is 83 and had great difficulty speaking and swallowing much of anything. Food was getting trapped in her throat and blocking her air way was happening more often. she battled for each breath. The riluzole did very little to help her. The medical team did even less. I have the best speech therapist ever… I have the best speech therapist ever Mary Martineau. She took the time to make my speech therapy sessions fit my physical needs. I'm a five year throat cancer survivor and have speech as well as swallowing issues. I would recommend her and the company as a whole to anyone who is having difficulties in this area. Everyone in the company has been super helpful is answering any questions that I have and also everyone replies quickly and compassionately.

Very comfortable. I really felt relaxed at the sessions. What I was looking for were practical tips on clarity and i pledge to practice everyday. The therapist had practical knowledge on what he was teaching me. Also when he was making a point and we were past time, he still continued till he finished.

Better Speech has unethical business practices We got a speech therapist through Better Speech. She was good. We liked her a lot and felt she was helping our daughter. Her therapist was not earning enough money through Better Speech and decided to move on to a different company. She had already built a relationship with our little girl and we wanted to continue. However, Better Speech threatened legal action of she continued to see us. Our little girl is heart broken. We will not be using Better Speech.
