ALS is a cruel disease ALS is a cruel disease. My mum is 83 and had great difficulty speaking and swallowing much of anything. Food was getting trapped in her throat and blocking her air way was happening more often. she battled for each breath. The riluzole did very little to help her. The medical team did even less. Her decline was rapid and devastating. The psychological support from the medical centre was non-existent and if it were not for the sensitive care and attention of our primary physician, there she would have died. There has been little if any progress in finding a cure or reliable treatment. Adriana was incredible Adriana was incredibly patient and helpful when my stroke got in the way of my memory. Not only did we work through many different kinds of memory tests and exercises together, but also she helped me gradually regain my confidence, so that I could restart daily activities such as driving. Absolute scam Absolute scam. I signed up for the video library to work on my lisp, but the resources are not suitable for adult speech therapy. I have a hard time believing they'd be useful for anything. But the biggest issue is I cannot cancel my subscription! There is no option to do so on their website, and they have not responded to phone calls or emails. I've had to repeatedly dispute the charges through my bank and will be trying to find a solution to block future charges as well.
