ALS is a cruel disease ALS is a cruel disease. My mum is 83 and had great difficulty speaking and swallowing much of anything. Food was getting trapped in her throat and blocking her air way was happening more often. she battled for each breath. The riluzole did very little to help her. The medical team did even less. Her decline was rapid and devastating. The psychological support from the medical centre was non-existent and if it were not for the sensitive care and attention of our primary physician, there she would have died. This company appears to be a scam This company appears to be a scam. They tell you they will match you within 24-48 hours and services will be $65 a session. Without authorizing it, they charged our credit card $240 after the intake, before any services were rendered, and before they scheduled the first meeting. This is unheard of in the healthcare industry to charge before getting services. It has been eight days, and we still have not heard from anyone about scheduling the first appointment even though they already charged us. I finally got an email back saying they are trying to match us with someone in our area despite the fact their website advertises no wait time. How about not charging until after the first session????
