GB5 Star psychiatric support (MD, DO) .. very personalized Dr. Mai is a horse of another color as is her company. ISHA instantly took 1st place after having dealt with 3 other K providers. Reasons why I chose ISHA: 1.) MD level psychiatric support. 2.) Ability to contact doctor directly via email anytime 3.) Quick follow-up to any questions to doctor or office. 4.) No funny business to hook you in. They do exactly as they say with no surprises. If you are interested in learning about the other providers I considered, here goes: The first two were K injection sites in AZ. Neither Arizona provider had any staff with psych background which I found disconcerting since we are dealing with the psyche. (I was a newbie before this and never took illegal drugs). I spoke with an MD at the first AZ place, but he was an anesthesiologist. This place assigns patients "life coaches" who coach the K experience. I asked about their qualifications. He said, "They like psychedelics" .. What? I pressed further as I expected at least a PA or RN with a psychiatric background. He said I was welcome to look at the website to take a look at the backgrounds of the life coaches. It appeared to me they were dabbling in psychology and ketamine therapy. There was only one in the medical field, others' qualifications were lacking imo. I do not believe a yoga instructor or a massage therapist qualifies to guide the K experience by simply taking a short course. The other AZ K infusion center was o.k, but also had no staff qualified in psychiatry either. I paid the $275 to consult with them, but backed off because my symptoms were not too strong and it would have also been inconvenient with their limited appt. schedule ... that's when I looked into at-home therapy. The 1st at-home provider I looked into was based in NC I think and a national company. Home page says patients will be assigned a "doctor" to monitor the experience. Only after paying the $650 do they even let you know who your "doctor" is. I had a choice of 2 naturopaths, which are fine for some health issues, but when it comes to the brain, an MD or DO in psych has far more training. I was unwilling to risk dealing with a naturopath in this situation. The company responded quickly to my refund request and returned the $650 to my account. A poster on Reddit talked about ISHA being very personal, so I contacted them. I think Mai also has an MBA and it shows. The website was not vague or designed to lure you in. It had good info for patients to make an informed decision. ISHA knows how to run a business and they are almost immediate in their repsonse to questions, whether emailing doctor directly or contacting the office. I'm on session 4 now and all is going well. I am glad I didn't do the more intense IV treatment. 3/4 tranche is fine for me so far.

GBIsha Health is great and well-run I've really enjoyed and benefited from my time at Isha Health. Dr.Shimada really cares and gave me effective pointers to help my ketamine therapy benefit me even more. The process has been smooth and easy; for example the superbill processing site made it possible to process the superbill with just filling in a simple form and it contacted the insurance for me. The Isha website has a great step-by-step guide for your ketamine sessions that's easy to follow and I really appreciated that the playlists (an essential part of the therapy) were provided. Prices are quite reasonable and are in line with the costs of professional ketamine therapy and behind-the-scenes administration today, in my judgment.
