About CD Baby

Music distribution is about getting your songs in front of the most people possible. That’s why over a million independent creators worldwide use CD Baby to release their music across all major digital streaming platforms like Spotify, TikTok and YouTube Music. CD Baby makes releasing music affordable— all our distribution services for just a one-time fee of $9.99 per release, whether it's a single or an album. And whenever we add a new digital retail partner, your music catalogue will be delivered to them free of charge. Many music distributors claim to offer free music distribution but charge additional per-retailer fees, annual subs fees, cancellation fees, and all kinds of hidden add-ons and upsells for additional services. CD Baby has no recurring subscription fees, so you don’t have to worry about us ever taking down your music if you miss a payment (there are no payments!) CD Baby also offers Mechanical and Digital Performance Royalty collection and Sync Licensing as part of our Boost service, as well as our Stages program for emerging artists. Stages offers a suite of valuable artist services, moving with you as your artist career advances and unlocking new opportunities such as expedited release inspection, DSP playlist pitching, and more.

Eff CD Baby My experience with CD baby was so infuriating. I've been trying to put out a project for more than a month. They kept messing it up and telling me to edit the project, which couldn't be edited. I reached out more than 10 times, submitted tickets, sent emails, I can't get in touch with them. There is no customer service line and I'm going to have to use a different distributor. I'm so angry it's been such a struggle - I hate them please don't use CD baby they suck.

CDbaby the Original I trust CDbaby because they are the first to support independent musicians online. I had a co-worker who was an artist a long time ago & I purchased his cd online. CDbaby was the only place I could do that at the time. Now releasing music myself, I’ve experienced how they support artists with podcasts, blogs, videos & much more. I also like that there’s no annual fees on submissions & the process is simple.

CD BABY = DODGY (Follow Up) The Merry Go Round Keeps Going Round Well Shame I can't reply to their semi automated reply to my previous Review. I filled in a takedown/copyrite form via email only to get another Automated reply with a link to the same takdown form I've already filled a couple times. As far as I'm concerned If CD Baby allows just anyone with an account to place artists music up without permission from the actual artist, then the onus is on them to contact/ chase the account holder, and not expect Me (The artist) to do so. It's not My neglegence. Sort Your dodgy Issues out.

New to me. I’m just getting started in something that is totally unfamiliar with anything. I’ve done before. I have a buddy helping me do this, so I must confer with him on how to go about writing this review. So far, I appreciate CDBaby for the acceptance of my music and the distribution of it. From what I understand there’s a lot more to happen, and I will be in touch with you again. Thank you, CDBaby.—Don🎹

CD Baby - Awesome! For someone who doesn’t upload more than about 12+ separate titles per year, every year, FOREVER, CD Baby should ALWAYS be the way to go! The pricing is fair, the support is decent and there’s no limit to your amount of artists! For someone who’d rather have no recurring payments, THIS is the music distribution service for me!
