About CD Baby

Music distribution is about getting your songs in front of the most people possible. That’s why over a million independent creators worldwide use CD Baby to release their music across all major digital streaming platforms like Spotify, TikTok and YouTube Music. CD Baby makes releasing music affordable— all our distribution services for just a one-time fee of $9.99 per release, whether it's a single or an album. And whenever we add a new digital retail partner, your music catalogue will be delivered to them free of charge. Many music distributors claim to offer free music distribution but charge additional per-retailer fees, annual subs fees, cancellation fees, and all kinds of hidden add-ons and upsells for additional services. CD Baby has no recurring subscription fees, so you don’t have to worry about us ever taking down your music if you miss a payment (there are no payments!) CD Baby also offers Mechanical and Digital Performance Royalty collection and Sync Licensing as part of our Boost service, as well as our Stages program for emerging artists. Stages offers a suite of valuable artist services, moving with you as your artist career advances and unlocking new opportunities such as expedited release inspection, DSP playlist pitching, and more.

CDBaby used to be good when you could… CDBaby used to be good when you could reach a live person, but like so many of these online companies they are all about getting your money and letting bots do the work. Well, the bots cannot fix the issue I am having and I have found absolutely no way to get a person to help even by email so I am stuck while they collect millions and I get trickles of pennies per song. I just released more music, paid for all of their services and they are failing to live up to what they say they can do like create a YouTube Artist Channel. If a customer has an issue and there is a glitch and you've already paid them as your distributor you are screwed. I am beyond frustrated right now with the ghosting. Since they refuse to make a way to fulfill their proclaimed services there should be a class action lawsuit against them. I hate to write this, but you know there needs to be accountability with these greedy online bot wielding ghosting companies!

CD Baby makes it simple and easy to… CD Baby makes it simple and easy to distribute my music. The cost to release new songs is low compared to other distributers, which I love.

Absolutely the worst Absolutely the worst, stay away people! I released music through them almost a decade ago and to this day I’m trying to get all their mistakes sorted myself. On YouTube, Spotify just everywhere my music was mixed up on other channels. To get the music on my channel seems to be impossible which it shouldn’t be. On Spotify it’s still not on my account. On you tube either and their last suggestion was to delete all my content off of YouTube so they can maybe put my music onto my channel. I own the rights and it’s just absolutely ridiculous!! Oh they reply after 6 months and sometimes a year so yeah don’t bother!!

I would give negative -10 if possible! Unhelpful to the core! I would give negative 10 if possible! Terrible Customer Service... They created a mess for us not registering our work with BMI like they agreed too... I Have missed out on royalties because of it and they have not been helpful in resolving this issue that has now gone on for years ... It has taken approximately 6 months just for them to reply to an email.. then another 6 months for another unhelpful reply.. Would not recommend
