About CD Baby

Music distribution is about getting your songs in front of the most people possible. That’s why over a million independent creators worldwide use CD Baby to release their music across all major digital streaming platforms like Spotify, TikTok and YouTube Music. CD Baby makes releasing music affordable— all our distribution services for just a one-time fee of $9.99 per release, whether it's a single or an album. And whenever we add a new digital retail partner, your music catalogue will be delivered to them free of charge. Many music distributors claim to offer free music distribution but charge additional per-retailer fees, annual subs fees, cancellation fees, and all kinds of hidden add-ons and upsells for additional services. CD Baby has no recurring subscription fees, so you don’t have to worry about us ever taking down your music if you miss a payment (there are no payments!) CD Baby also offers Mechanical and Digital Performance Royalty collection and Sync Licensing as part of our Boost service, as well as our Stages program for emerging artists. Stages offers a suite of valuable artist services, moving with you as your artist career advances and unlocking new opportunities such as expedited release inspection, DSP playlist pitching, and more.

They will remove your music without any… They will remove your music without any consideration if you have your songs played by playlists without your consent. They willl not try to fix your situation what’s so ever nor will they give you a refund. Join even biz r bandcamp. These platforms will no longer be relevant in 2025. Mark my works

CDbaby the Original I trust CDbaby because they are the first to support independent musicians online. I had a co-worker who was an artist a long time ago & I purchased his cd online. CDbaby was the only place I could do that at the time. Now releasing music myself, I’ve experienced how they support artists with podcasts, blogs, videos & much more. I also like that there’s no annual fees on submissions & the process is simple.

Eff CD Baby My experience with CD baby was so infuriating. I've been trying to put out a project for more than a month. They kept messing it up and telling me to edit the project, which couldn't be edited. I reached out more than 10 times, submitted tickets, sent emails, I can't get in touch with them. There is no customer service line and I'm going to have to use a different distributor. I'm so angry it's been such a struggle - I hate them please don't use CD baby they suck.

I would give negative -10 if possible! Unhelpful to the core! I would give negative 10 if possible! Terrible Customer Service... They created a mess for us not registering our work with BMI like they agreed too... I Have missed out on royalties because of it and they have not been helpful in resolving this issue that has now gone on for years ... It has taken approximately 6 months just for them to reply to an email.. then another 6 months for another unhelpful reply.. Would not recommend

When you don't know what you don't know CD Baby has really streamlined the process of getting music from sketch to released. Given this process entails many steps that would have been entire businesses in the past, this is remarkable. The support videos are excellent - exactly the type of hand holding I needed by first time. And the options available after that help illuminate all the things I did not know I needed.
