Ordered a book by James Fenimore Cooper… Ordered a book by James Fenimore Cooper and 5 days later the said they "discovered" that they do not have the book after all and the order is now closed. I suspect they realized they may have listed the book too cheaply and it will mysteriously as appear later ar a much higher price. I will not do business with this company ever again.

I ordered a book from Powell's to be… I ordered a book from Powell's to be sent to Australia and it arrived just about right on time. Reasonably fast delivery and the price on the book was absolutely fantastic! The book I bought here cost only one tenth of what it was advertised on other websites! Great customer service when I sent queries. Used book arrived in really good condition, basically like new, I was very very happy with it. It goes without saying, I highly recommend Powell's! Thank You for your professionalism Today saw the funeral of a friend and colleague of mine,who sadly passed a few weeks ago. I attended the funeral as part of WYP in the capacity of friend and colleague. The funeral numbers exceeded in excess of 250 people, with some real sensitivities to manage and get things right for the family. The service was attended by WYP, Chief Constable John Robins and a number of other senior officers as part of his team. Comment was made throughout regarding the WYP guard of honour at the church and the professionalism and etiquette of Melia Powell’s and the fact everything ran so smoothly. The funeral Directors, Merv Pemberton and Dean Newton were exceptional at such a sad time. Thank you for making this a day to remember, for all the right reasons. Your staff are a credit to yourselves at Melia Powell’s. Thank you !!

Powell's Bookstore is the worst Powell's Bookstore is the absolute worst online business you can imagine. They take your money and fail to send you books. They do not reply to emails. The link they provided to follow my order was a bad link. The web site will not let me log into their Web Site or change my password. They have convinced me to go back to Amazon, which is very sad.

SKETCHY AS CAN BE !!! My books that they purchased from me, were delivered last week and I still have yet to receive payment, an email or any kind of communication. Would not recommend sending them books to be bought. And I know for certain it was signed for by a guy named Scott on the 18th of March.
