GBWanted to love it. Turned out to be the opposite. We bought two colors from the Crate and Barrel color line. We thought it would be great to have a less toxic alternative from a small, independent company run by designers, with great colors to boot. We also thought it would be high quality. We're pretty disappointed in the paint. My husband is a high-end contractor and a home improvement expert, so we know we did everything to the extreme best; we are far from amateurs. The paint does not cover well, even with the appropriate compounding, taping, sanding, and primer used before it. It also comes off extremely easily and this is after two coats. This is incredibly annoying especially on the walls that have the dark blue (Crate and Barrel Blue 6) which require touch ups already. The walls were initially painted only two weeks ago. The eggshell finish has a slightly tacky feel even though it's been dry for two weeks. This paint was expensive for the poor quality. We would have been much better off sticking to Benjamin Moore or Pittsburgh, which we've already discussed using to cover this paint sooner rather than later. I cannot comment on customer service as we did not have to contact them for our order. It did take longer than expected to ship to us, though. That is also disappointing, but would have been worth it if the paint was high quality.

GBThis Paint Doesn't Stink So far, I've painted two rooms with Colorhouse and two with another "low" VOC national brand. The two rooms painted with the other brand will be repainted with Colorhouse because I honestly love the velvety texture of CH eggshell over any other paint brand. One coat of Colorhouse covers, two coats get into the nooks and crannies of the orange peel texture on our walls. Clean up is easy, a little hot water, a touch of soap and it's done. The smell is mild, more like an afterthought, and the colors are rich and have a depth you don't get with other paints. My biggest issue with Colorhouse? Choosing a color. Besides the regular palettes, then the seasonal palettes, if you go to the right Colorhouse dealer they can color match almost any other color. So when I hit the Paint Bar at EcoHouse in Berkeley, I feel like a little kid with a pocketful of change in a candy store. No worries, the right dealer will have no VOC tints to give you the perfect color.

GBAmazing customer service that saved my small condo from looking like a nursery! I stumbled into Colorhouse because it was only a few blocks away from my condo. What I found inside was a passionate company that has created an amazingly environmentally friendly product. To top it all off they had one of the most customer friendly teams I've ever met. I am not an experienced painter nor was I attempting to do a very large project but the Colorhouse team was truly amazing in helping me through the process. Lynn Morgan in customer service was my panting angel and if she hadn't guided me through the process my entire place would have looked like a kids nursery! I'm so please with how the project turned out and I couldn't be more thankful for Lynn and the Colorhouse team! I definitely will pass you details to anyone in need of an amazing project and great customer service. Thanks again! Oliver

GBAwesome! I can't wait to paint something else! Paint chips were excellent guides, and the paint was so low-odor I never once got a headache even in a small enclosed room. The colours are magnificent and all we had hoped for.

GBhues that make you swoon I painted my kids room with their chalkboard collection in wood. 05...a gorgeous subtle and rich dark purple pink with brown undertones... Currently, the chalkboard wall is filled with yellow and pink hearts so the wall has grown on me even more!
