Does nothing vs train horns Purchased after reading a review on their website saying it was effective vs train noise. There is a train track a half mile away that hoots in the middle of the night. The curtains do not dampen that noise at all. They mildly dampen other noises, but do not do anything towards the reason I purchased them. I should have done more research on reviews before committing $700. Frankly, I feel like I've been scammed.

We needed a product that would help us… turn a den into a nursery We needed a product that would help us turn a den into a nursery for baby #2 by closing off an open doorway into the room to block light & sound but still allowing us to come in and out. After learning that other methods (sheetrock, accordian doors, etc) couldnt work, Residential Acoustics was able to create a large, custom fitted acoustic curtain that we could hang and slide open and closed as needed. The curtain does a great job keep light and sound out to keep the baby asleep while still allowing air to flow. The staff were super helpful in coming up with this creative solution to our problem and getting the product to us in time! Thanks Residential Acoustics!

RIP OFF!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! This product is complete trash. Using a professional decibel meter while the curtains are up it 100% does not block out any sound or made a difference. Then they tell you there are no refunds which is complete bull and should be displayed on the ordering page. I've had to get my bank involved to get back $800, because I bought these overpriced curtains that do nothing but block out light. Save yourself the headache and stay far away from this scam of a company... Im prety sure they fake all their website reviews as well.

Okay While they do dampen some noise, they're not effective at blocking out low frequency noises. The website notes that this, but I thought I'd give it a try. Blue color is attractive and they look good. Installation a bit confusing because the velcro is inset from the edges. Took longer than expected to receive the blinds. Overall, they're okay, just not very effective at fixing my particular issue.

They Work Really Well ! I usually do not write reviews, but was so happy and surprised at the job these curtains did to block noise. We live in some houses that literally a 5 feet from your neighbors and right next to the freeway... So needless to say it was hard to sleep without hearing my neighbors outside or the rush hour traffic. I ordered enough to cover the bedroom windows and not it is literally almost silent in my master bedroom. As a light sleeper and someone who wakes up from talking or traffic, i would recommend these without a second thought!
