The manager came to my house to measure… The manager came to my house to measure my room. When the installers came they informed me that the carpet was too small for the room and I would have to pick something else. When I went back to the store, the "gentleman" working there was rude and tried to limit me to their cheapest carpet. The sales girl had told me the week before that the carpet he was trying to exchange for was what they sold to landlords for rentals. Then he took me back to the remnants and forced me to choose from a tiny selection of which only two fit my room. I was not happy with the way I was treated, especially when it was THEIR mistake. I'm giving them 3 stars because the sales girl, Adrianna was wonderful.

Extremely Unhappy in Merced The product installed had no resemblance to the sample provided by United Floor Covering/Carpet 1. Although we realized that there would be some variance because it was a natural wood product, the sample showed almost no variation in color, while the installed product varied dramatically with many pieces much darker than the sample. The sample had no prominent knots; the product had numerous dark knots and filled areas. We made our likes and dislikes clearly known to the salesman. We never would have gone with a sample that looked like what we got; we would have rejected it out of hand. The salesman called us many times prior to contract signing (sometimes twice a day); we did not hear from him again after that, except for a brief visit on the first day of installation. When we expressed our concerns over the coloring/variation, he said relax and guaranteed we'd love. Not loving it!!! Midway through installation we contacted Dave and requested he visit and bring the sample. He came the next morning (without the sample). He again expressed our concerns over the coloring and extent of variation; he said he personally liked the variation. Silly us, we thought that what we liked was important. Guess not. We had no issues at all with the installers themselves. They did the best they could with the product they had to deal with, even though they said it was much more difficult to install than most hardwood floors. The sample was not representative at all. This is certainly the fault of the distributor; if United Floor Covering had previous experience with this particular floor they definitely led us astray as well.

Best product, best installers in the Valley My wife and myself are long time friends of the owners so it is natural that we would trust them with our home improvement needs. Carpet One has resurfaced floors in three of our homes, installed kitchen counter tops and window treatments. The companies attention to detail, and ability to complete jobs on tight schedules is second to none. I recommend that anyone looking to remodel their home should check out the Carpet One of Merced showroom, and talk to the staff who is very knowledgeable in all aspects of flooring, counter tops and window treatments.

I am completely satisfied with my… I am completely satisfied with my carpet. The entire process from the very beginning of selecting my carpet to the day of installation was done in a partnership between myself and Dave and the staff at United Floor Covering. They all were professional, helpful, friendly, and respectful of my wishes and concerns. Many kudos to the installers! Not only do they know well the art of installation but did it with respect to my home and my furniture all in a friendly professional manner. I love love my new wool carpet!

Excellent workmanship We had hardwood oak flooring that needed to be removed and new flooring added on. Also a carpet adjoining the wood needed to be cut to fit. The workers had great personalities and their work was excellent. The finished product was beautiful and flowed into the old floor perfectly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing flooring.
