1 star is being very generous to this… 1 star is being very generous to this company! The customer service was rude, unhelpful, & awful with communications! The movers picked our stuff up from our apartment in Phoenix, AZ. On May 30th, & god only knows where they kept our stuff for nearly 2 MONTHS, before finally delivering to our new apartment in Charlotte, NC. On June 25th. 2 Months! Absolutely unacceptable! We’re definitely missing a few boxes/bags. For whatever reason they completely took my Whiskey barrel apart, which will cost a couple hundred to have it re-assembled (seeing I don’t have the proper tools to put it back together). This company is an absolute joke, & they do not care about the customers at all. They take your money & could give 2 F%%ks about what happens to your valuables! Thanks for stealing my hard earned money & 2 months of living hell AMF you useless fleabags! -5 stars would still be too friendly for AMF

The literal worst move I have ever experienced Quite possibly the worst move I've ever experienced. They somehow found a no-name, poorly reviewed moving company to facilitate moving my 2bed apartment from SF to Seattle, and took nearly 4 weeks to make an 800 mile delivery (for context, a cross country move from the east coast to SF took 3 weeks). The original $4000 quote I was given has turned into me paying nearly $15,000 to get everything, which is a ridiculous amount for an apartment move that has taken so long to wrap up. They also ignored me when I asked to not store my stuff, and shipped everything off to Nevada to put things into a storage locker, and I had to call multiple times per week to get things back on track. Save yourself the headache, get away from this company, don't give them a penny of your money.

Use them again!!! John was very understanding and worked with me on making things happen until the very last minute. His estimate was pretty accurate, even if he didn't believe he would get as much done in three days as we did. But we work hard and expect the same of others. We were not disappointed. The moving team worked hard and was very professional yet kind and understanding. Their prices were also competitive, as I checked other companies to ensure that I was getting a fair deal. I highly recommend American Moving and would for sure use them again.

SPAM They posed as movers but later turned out as brokers. The movers they employed not only stole our stuff but broke, rampaged and caused immense emotional and financial damage to our property. On filing a claim they offered only $100 for $4000 worth of damage. They should be penalized.

Absolute nightmare dealing with AMF Absolute nightmare dealing with AMF. It’s been total hell. They rescheduled my move 4 times with a repeated pattern of confirming a pick up date, then never showing up, and then rescheduling to repeat. And after getting upsold and charged $8k more than my estimated price and leaving me desperate and with no options than to pay, and received my household a week later with 2/3 of the contents damaged, smashed, and dented. Rent yourself a truck and forget about these brokers. AMF takes no responsibility for anything but has no problem taking your upfront deposit with no guarantee of your reserved dates and in fact knowingly aware that the probably of securing a truck fir that date being remotely possible. Stay away.
