GBI dealt with the Nottingham branch… I dealt with the Nottingham branch although I thought I would be dealing with Chesterfield. Jasmine and Daniel never returned phone calls and very rarely returned emails. At one point they were both off on annual leave and I was passed to 3 other people to try and help (who couldn't). I wouldn't recommend to anyone and wouldn't use them again. The whole process took longer than we thought it would with such a sort chain. They didn't answer phone calls and questions by our estate agent and made the whole sale more stressful than it actually needed to be.

GBTook time to explain Elliot Mather was recommended by our new build company and we're SO glad we went with them. Previous solicitor experience made me think they're all the same and very informal - but this wasn't true. My partner and I had a stressful journey selling up my leasehold flat. We hit hurdles with the buyers as well as delays from the leasehold management company. Our mortgage offer also had difficulties and then some more with an extension for our purchase (market crash) due to newbuild completion delays. All in all, I can't count the times we thought things would fall through. However Andrew and his team gave us reliable, realistic and FRIENDLY advice when we reached out for help. They took the time to speak to us on the phone, and Andy would break things down into a legal language that we could understand. He was very pleasant and cheerful to talk to and the team genuinely made me feel better in those low moments. We've been in our new home for a month now and we're so happy. 2022 was an experience we never want to relive but we're so thankful for Andy and his team for supporting us through the journey and making it easier when times were uncertain.

GBvery poor service so frustrated with the Chesterfield branch. I was given one case-handler that then passed to another or possibly three at one stage, hard to keep track. Comms to my buyer and seller's solicitors are ridiculously slow despite an assurance they could complete within 12 weeks of instruction - we're now at 4 months and counting, no end in sight. One outstanding issue that was flagged months ago and still isn't resolved. I am given no advice about what I should be querying and it's only fortunate I am an experienced buyer. Wasting my hard earned money on a sale that may not proceed, seriously not impressed! The phone may as well not exist, all comms have been via email with the inevitable delays

GBBrilliant solicitors I'm a first time buyer and the horror stories I'd heard about buying a house nearly put me off but I can honestly say the service I received from Lucy at Elliot Mather was first class. I completed within seven weeks of reserving my house and that is all down to the hard work, clear guidance and endless knowledge that Lucy provided me with! GBI used elliot mathers some time ago… I used elliot mathers some time ago and they were supposed to provide free in duty service. I never signed a contract as they were in duty on the day yet they pursued me for 3 years without any contract or proof of an agreement and took me back to court for £500. Pure extortionists. I wouldn't recommend approaching or ever using their services
