About Vinyl Me, Please

We are storytellers, curators & a community who understand the impact a great album can have on someone. And, we are firm believers that vinyl is the best medium for creating these experiences. We’re fascinated by the long (sometimes grueling) journey a record takes by the time it’s in your hands — from artist to studio to pressing plant, and beyond. Because of our dedication to the process and the people behind it.

I ordered 5 vinyls to the value of 130… I ordered 5 vinyls to the value of 130 uk pounds. I got notification that the items had been shipped on the 9th April. Two weeks later and I look at the shipping website and the package hasn’t moved. I contact VMP and tell them this. They tell me that they will ship the order again. 4 days later and it’s still not been shipped. I then contact them on the 1st may and tell them to cancel the order. They then have the temerity to refund 109 uk pounds saying that they took off 21 pounds for shipping even though they haven’t shipped anything. Having to go through my credit card company to get a refund on the difference. An utter disgrace of a company.

Borderline scam, bad customer service, bad range After selecting Australia and putting in our Australian shipping details we were horrified to learn the price was in USD and only found out when an additional $300 and huge international transaction fee came out of our account. The range in general sucks and despite sending me 100+ emails in a year, I have yet to receive one reminding me the swaps window will close soon, which would be very helpful (i missed the window and received garbage three times). I have contacted customer service about both of the above complaints and received no response. Additionally, after cancelling my subscription, I was told I am unable to make a swap this month because my subscription is ending, even though I still have one more record coming. This means I am receiving a remastered jazz record from 1975 containing a whopping six songs in total (three to a side). There is absolutely no reason I shouldn't be able to swap this, given the swap window is still open, but I have still been told I am unable to do it. The service provides everything it says it provides, but the website sucks and so does the customer service. I'm sure they're making a mint selling overpriced mass produced records and making it as difficult as possible for their subscribers to switch off. Dishonest and deceptive business model, very disappointing.

More pros than cons. I totally loved being a member of the Dolly Parton vinyl club. I just wish more of the albums issued were new-to-vinyl units, as opposed to re-issue on vinyl. Plus, for some reason my friends around the US who were also in that club, received theirs in the mail weeks before I did, and no explanation was ever given.

Great vinyl The sound is great, and I love the rare album pressed on the vinyl - Honky Tonk Angels. But, unfortunately, the package came a bit wrinkly, and the inner and outer sleeve a bit torn. Otherwise, I really like the concept.
