Beyond expectation This is a beautiful book, and the the staff is wonderful. 11/10, because 5 stars just isn't enough. I'm extremely satisfied.

The books are beautiful The books are beautiful. I ordered 2, one for me and one as a gift. Really love the experience of white text on black paper. Upon initial inspection, the ink on a few of the pages seems to be slightly faded. I know it happens at most any printer, but wanted to let you know for QC. The number of the gift book happens to be the birth month and year of the recipient, so that is an extra bonus! I look forward to your next project.

Looking forward to future titles! I found out about this company on kickstarter and was excited to back their project. Although the project hit many production speed bumps, a great amount of effort was put in to communicating issues and delays to the project backers. Now that the project has come to fruition I could not be happier with the final product. The book itself is absolutely beautiful. A part of the beauty comes from the unique look of the book and it's black pages, but the fact that it is put together so well only adds to it. I cannot wait to see what titles are released in the future so that I may add another Monochrome book to my collection.

Original backer I’m a backer of the original Meditations project on Kickstarter, standard hardcover. There were many unforeseen production and shipping delays due to COVID, but Luis communicated to us the whole time. It was all typical of a crowdfund started during a global pandemic (I backed several other projects that all had similar or worse delays). The end product was a beautifully designed book; the slipcase, the cover, and the pages were all high quality that matched the price for the version I purchased. The only feature I wish was better, is that the text has a small number of places where it seems like not enough ink was used. The white doesn’t seem as full and bold as it could be. If there is a better white ink out there to use, I hope it’s used in future projects. But this doesn’t take away from the reading experience, it’s all clear enough to read without strain on my eyes. Lastly, I do like the subject they chose for the flagship volume as well as translation used. It’s clear and easy to follow which makes the read that much more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be backing/purchasing future Monochrome books.
