At that time, I was very skeptical and scared that I would be caught up in some kind of vanity publishing scam. Emma was very good--she was informative, reassuring, and just nice. I felt comfortable speaking with her, and she answered all of my questions (no matter how naive). Using the Amazon name to mislead… Using the Amazon name to mislead authors is bad. That Google permits this fake establishment to pay for placement at the top of the page is immoral. The best part is that Google doesn't implement criteria for the company description, which allows Amazon Publishers Online to describe themselves as #1 publicists with a package of $11,000+.
