USIt is amazing to see the response I… It is amazing to see the response I have received from these people. They helped my book reach the list of best-sellers within a span of 6 months. You guys did a fabulous job! At first, I was doubting your services but now I realize you people are tremendous with what you do. All the best!

USI never leave bad reviews. Today that changes! Let me begin this by saying I'm not that person, that woman who leaves terrible Yelp reviews because her waiter forgot a salad fork, or rates her Uber driver one star because they took a wrong turn. Simply-I paid this company money to line edit my book, and they returned a grammatically worse book to me. Things like names of herbs were suddenly capitalized, usages of aunt and uncle were suddenly incorrect, I found a sentence with TWO semicolons, when I hadn't had one in the first place. There were nonsensical changes and incorrect edits that were made throughout the book like these examples: Original: "She made some kind of a tea that smelled like licorice and tasted like bitter socks that was supposed to clear my mind." Their Edit: "She made some kind of tea that smelled like Licorice and tasted like bitter socks that were supposed to clear my mind." Original: "She was good in a way a bitter tonic was good, healing even when uncomfortable." Their Edit: "She was good in a way. A bitter tonic was good, healing even when uncomfortable." They had the audacity to say that I "approved" their changes and couldn't give me a refund because I glanced at chapters as they sent them over, didn't see any major changes, and asked them to send over the rest. Would your mechanic take a look at your car, say that it's fixed, then tell you you should have known better when your engine wasn't calibrated correctly? No, because that's what you're paying for their expertise for. To find the extent of their mistakes, I had to spend over fifteen hours re-editing my own manuscript and found countless mistakes. I did not receive what I paid for, a edited book with correct punctuation and grammar. I did not receive what their services promised by any stretch of the imagination. I politely asked to speak with someone to return my money, citing these countless mistakes. They gave me the run around for weeks, and eventually just didn't call after they said they would. I told them that I would be getting my credit card company involved and leaving this review if they didn't return my payment. They still haven't returned my money, and my credit card company is investigating. All of this, and they wouldn't just return my $540 for a job terribly done with all the evidence in the world to support my case. If you're looking for a company that truly cares about your manuscript and will complete their services correctly as listed, look ANYWHERE else. Trust me.

USFailed to refund as promised. I contracted with Online Book Writers to help market my newly released book. The copy they wrote was not up to my standards and they did claim to rewrite with "better" writers. Fail! The copy read like written by writers for whom English is a second language or sixth graders. After several failed attempts, they agreed to refund my $2,999 initial payment. I have had several conversations with them and they said they would have their financial people handle the refund. I have not received the money. I won't call them a scam yet but if I don't get the refund, this will change. Peter Nesbitt

CAThis company is a total scam This company is a total scam. I got conned into paying $1,600.00 and now I can’t get in touch with them. No one answers calls, I’ve left text messages, phone messages and I even sent them an email. It seems as if they are totally avoiding me. I have no recourse now but potential clients just be warned!

USThey Are Liars & Scammers - Stay Away! I hired this company to promote my book in July of 2021. It is now November of 2021 and they haven't done anything! I paid $1,500 down and gave them an additional $1,000 after that for them to hire an influencer to promote my book on social media. That's a total of $2,500. I dealt with Morris Samuel and Mike King. I have their phone numbers. Lately they haven't responded to my texts. Now that I think about it that may not even be their real names. I have my receipts to prove these transactions took place but they have produced zero results. They periodically sent me things to approve but they haven't delivered on anything that they promised. I used a part of my savings, money I didn't have to waste, to hire them and they scammed me. I've experienced COVID twice, death of loved ones, and loss during the pandemic and on top of that I've been swindled by this company. It hurts! I encourage everyone to stay way from this company. They are a bunch of crooks!!! UPDATE 11/10/21 Online Book Writers has contacted me and they are working to resolve the situation. I appreciate the nice person they have placed over my project to correct the past issues. As soon as everything is addressed I will update my review. UPDATE 12/7/21 12:54 PM EST My latest update is that I haven't heard from Online Book Writers in about 2 weeks. A young lady named Sophie was assigned to my case. She started out well. I even talked to her boss. He assured me they would fix this. He also asked me to remove my review but I refused to until the work was completed. At this point I want my $2,500 back. These people are highly unprofessional and frauds. If you want your book promoted please stay way from this company! UPDATE 1/31/22 2:46 PM EST I've been contacted over the last 2 months by at least 4 different people claiming to be a project manager over my case. Eventually they all disappear after making promises. The latest was named Jake Roberts. He claimed like all the rest that he would handle everything and provide me with what I paid for. This experience came up short as well. 1) It took days to make little corrections to the website they were building. 2) He had the audacity to ask me about paying the final balance. I remind everyone that I paid these people $2,500 in July of 2021 for a 4 month project. As of 1/31/22 they have not activated or promoted my book at all. I told him what I told the other reps that I wasn't paying them another dime. He then sarcastically said "We don't work for free" and that's when I lost it. After paying them $2,500 several months ago for a scope of work that they are seriously in breach of a contract for, he had the nerve to insult me. I hung up the phone. His so-called manager called and texted. I refused to answer. I believe is objective was to handle me like the previous managers. I refuse to be insulted any longer. 3) They have heavy accents and I'm not sure they are even really located in this country. 4) I contacted the Better Business Bureau in the area of California where their business address is listed. The BBB launched an investigation and recently replied to me with this letter that I copied and pasted: Dear Anthony Green: This message is in regard to your complaint submitted on 12/21/2021 against Online Book Writers. I simply want my money back so that I can move on.
