GBBig Ups to Drake I don't know if anybody could have convinced me that 31 years after trying Drake Software, I'd STILL be using it, but that's the way it is. THIRTY-ONE YEARS, and over 20,000 tax returns!!!! And oh, the customer service? Drake's customer service has built an 'expect nothing less than the best' reputation, and the various surveys of tax professionals certainly attest to that. ...gotta go now. I'm about to solve yet another client's tax puzzle with the best tax software of all time. ...OF ALL TIME!!!

GBPathetic support I absolutely agree with a previous review about horrible support and rude people. It is clear to me, after being a customer for the past 16 years or so, that the last couple of years has shown a steep decline in support. They have increased their fee by 50% since 2020. Not a great trend, higher prices for a lesser product and bad support. They like to blame the states for e-filing issues, but I caught them in a lie today. I'm done after 2023 season.

INEasy to Use We've been using Drake Software for the last 10 years now and have always been very pleased with the accuracy, ease of use, and vast options the company has given us. The tax planner is helpful for clients to prepare for the next year or give them several scenarios for making decisions.

GBDrake user for 25+ years. As a Drake user for 25+ years I would never think of changing software. One of Drake's main features is their support. Usually someone answers on the second ring and you are talking to a live person who speaks english. If the person who answers can't help they immediately transfer you to someone else who can. The other good thing about Drake is they are family owned and they take suggestions from tax practioners about improving the software seriously. Software is reasonably priced and handles all type return.

GBNo email communication I've been using Drake Tax and Drake Payroll for a while now. The Software itself isn't bad but my issue is with IRS rejected filings. Drake wouldn't notify the tax preparer that a return has been rejected. Drake does receive the status update from the IRS but it won't send an email to the tax preparer to notify them as such. This software isn't cheap but it's basically useless in these type of situations. This causes so much grief to resolve the issues once discovered.
