30+ Years and Still the Best I have used Drake 30+ years. The software continues to be one of the best out there. I highly recommend Drake; the software is continually evolving to make my job easier in these changing times. With Drake the programmers are at update schools to interact with users and gain insight as to how we use the software. Support is responsive when needed and will go out of their way to help even if the issue is not software related.

Dan at Drake top of the line in the… Dan at Drake top of the line in the rude category. Had Drake software for 35 years and Dan has guaranteed I will find a new software company. They were the best for 30 years. The last few years they have been declining and Dan has now moved Drake to the rude category in service. A footnote Rude Dan a supervisor in the customer service area told me NOT to contact them as they would solve the software problem that was causing me 2X the work when they got around to it and I was unreasonable to believe that my desire for some kind of time frame as to when my extra work load might end wasn't anything he cared about. I also take from that, that Drake doesn't care much either.

Drake user for 25+ years. As a Drake user for 25+ years I would never think of changing software. One of Drake's main features is their support. Usually someone answers on the second ring and you are talking to a live person who speaks english. If the person who answers can't help they immediately transfer you to someone else who can. The other good thing about Drake is they are family owned and they take suggestions from tax practioners about improving the software seriously. Software is reasonably priced and handles all type return.

Drake Portals auto logout time This is not about the Drake Tax, but Drake Portal. can you please extend the auto logout time!!!! It is ridiculously short. I cannot even go back and forth between it and Drake Tax working on a retrun only to come back and have to log back in. It is shorter than any bank login or any other application I work with . IT IS EVEN SHORTER THAN DRAKE TAX AUTO LOGOUT. What the heck are they tryng to accomplish other than aggragvate the user into finding a differnt solution?

Drake is overall a great tax product Drake is overall a great tax product. Easy to use and proforma prior year data for use with the current year return. This year the QBI section for K-1's seemed to give our preparers a little more trouble with it being listed separately from each K-1. Would like to see options to link 1099-NEC's/MISC directly from the Schedule's C, E and F to make sure preparers utilize those forms (like the 99G and PATR on Schedule F). With this difficult year of changes and all that the programmers had to deal with, Drake was great on getting the software updated timely and working to keep up with our ever changing government regulations
