Through the years, they have continually improved and kept up with the changing tax laws and technology improvements. The tax software integrates with their Drake Portals for easy upload and download of documents to and from clients. Also, Drake Document Manager integrates seamlessly as well. Clients can sign tax returns digitally through the Portals as well for a paperless experience. I also use Drake Accounting for my write up and payroll clients. I can't see that I would change software, as their support has always gone above and beyond to solve any challenges I may encounter in the preparation of returns. I highly recommend anyone looking to give them a try.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD their demo DO NOT DOWNLOAD their demo. They "do not have an uninstaller" and simply deleting the files in File Explorer will leave residuals all over your hard drive. Once they know you are not purchasing their software, they come completely unhelpful.

Drake is overall a great tax product Drake is overall a great tax product. Easy to use and proforma prior year data for use with the current year return. This year the QBI section for K-1's seemed to give our preparers a little more trouble with it being listed separately from each K-1. Would like to see options to link 1099-NEC's/MISC directly from the Schedule's C, E and F to make sure preparers utilize those forms (like the 99G and PATR on Schedule F). With this difficult year of changes and all that the programmers had to deal with, Drake was great on getting the software updated timely and working to keep up with our ever changing government regulations

We appreciate the software team We appreciate the software team. In particular the telephone support team is quick, efficient, personable, and easy to engage in meaningful conversation. They come up with solutions and show their thorough knowledge by doing it quickly. A couple things that would be good: 1. A single button to quickly print the Engagement Letter from the list of returns. 2. Consistent placement of the PRNT and Notes screens across return types. Put them all in miscellaneous or whereever.

Drake Portals auto logout time This is not about the Drake Tax, but Drake Portal. can you please extend the auto logout time!!!! It is ridiculously short. I cannot even go back and forth between it and Drake Tax working on a retrun only to come back and have to log back in. It is shorter than any bank login or any other application I work with . IT IS EVEN SHORTER THAN DRAKE TAX AUTO LOGOUT. What the heck are they tryng to accomplish other than aggragvate the user into finding a differnt solution?
