Aberdeen Amazing Service! Aberdeen were one of many captioning companies that we interviewed to help us in captioning our online stream. We wanted to stream in English and Spanish captions. My experience with Aberdeen Broadcast… My experience with Aberdeen Broadcast Services was absolutely fantastic! I was in a very unique situation (during the Christmas holiday week) that was complex as well as time sensitive... Tony Baltayan was my initial contact person and he made me feel completely confident that ABS would not only be capable of handling and accommodating my needs but also made me feel like a valued customer. Once Tony had all of my information he initiated and oversaw the ABS team in order to execute what I needed done... He then assigned David Shiroma as my account manager who kept me posted and up to date every step of the way until and after my show was delivered and approved by the receiving tv station. Both David and Tony went above and beyond in order to make what I needed to happen... happen. We were using only tape based distribution before Aberdeen came in and gave us more options for the captioning and distribution in file based formats. There were very helpful in easing us into the modern world of file based distribution by setting up a workflow that included shows on tape and file. Outstanding Company I work for a broadcast company where we process hundreds of thousands of pieces of digital media annually. We work with many companies that transcode, caption, and deliver media via automation. For the most part, they all do the same things and do them just about as well as each other, with the only notable differences being the names of the companies. Then there is Aberdeen. What makes Aberdeen stand above the glut of other media services for us is the service that their team provides. Every single member of their team that I have worked with over the years has been exceptionally responsive, informed, friendly, and always follows through (Sales, Account Managers, Technical Team). Anyone who works in media knows what it is like to have something time sensitive go wrong on a Friday afternoon and knows the feeling of despair that the “automated response” regurgitated from a customer support portal invokes when you are trying to resolve the issue. It may as well read “I hope you packed a lunch; this is gonna take a day or four”. This is never a thing with Aberdeen. Someone always quickly responds, and always follows up afterwards to make sure things were resolved. This is the reason why Aberdeen is our go-to for any priority projects or any that are technically challenging. I am always confident that things will get done on time and correctly.
