Second time using Expatfile This is my second year to use this system & overall, Expatfile's software is great & makes filing U.S. taxes from Canada so much easier & less time-consuming. Pushing buttons & filling in blanks speeds up the process. If there's even a slight frustration, it would be that there's still government phrases & definitions that aren't always easy to understand & could be explained in even simpler terms in order to insure questions are answered correctly. I approached filling out my US taxes with trepidation knowing full well the complexities involved in getting them correct and accepted. I had never done my US taxes previously. Their guided software program made the task much easier and, it seems, the IRS has found no issues with the return. In addition, I probably saved myself $800 (including the cost of using the software) this year by doing it myself.
