Mistakes cost me thousands of dollars Unfortunately, I have discovered that the returns generated by Ben Pang and Sam Kuang have errors. I will have to file corrections to three personal returns and one corporate return. The errors mostly involve incorrectly reporting SEP IRA contributions. I became aware of these errors after learning more about the tax rules on my own and sending the returns to another accountant. In addition to these verified errors, there were a half dozen near-misses over the last 2-3 years, in which I was given advice that was incorrect and only revised after I asked questions about the advice. On top of that, they provided no planning through the year. This is especially important for someone like me, who was starting a new S-corp. I estimate that poor planning in company decisions resulted in at least $10,000 in additional taxes. While they were professional and patient, unfortunately, I am paying for a service that is accurate and cost-saving. The bottom line is that their incorrect advice and inaccurate filings have cost me thousands of dollars in taxes. I view myself as a careful and resourceful taxpayer, and it's disappointing that even with the care that I put into the process, we reached such a costly outcome.

Awesome Professional Service Working with Flex-Tax was a great experience. I contacted him about two situations. The first required only a phone conversation and was free of charge. The other situation - refund of Social Security and Medicare Tax, was in handled through a couple of meetings. Before we met he asked questions by email to ensure his services were needed and then outlined what I needed to ensure our meeting was productive and informative. He walked me through the legal situation, ran through two possible solutions and clearly outlined supporting documentation needs for each solution.
