customer service SUCKS with Mint... customer service SUCKS with Mint...half the time there is no chat support, and the other half of the time, they multitask so much that minutes go by between trivial lines of conversation. The mint site has plenty enough bugs to make you need to report them, but you cant without jumping thru bureaucratic hoops which take FOREVER because the chat operators are working multiple customers at the same time!

See my point here What I do know is that they earn their big revenue from various set of advertising accounts. See my point here ? So from there could grow your dissapointment with them finally. I do hope it will fix itself. but it appears they do not work like they should anymore.

No actual service... but lots of ads I tried using Mint.com to manage a couple rental accounts. I was told by several people that it used to be magical until it was bought by Intuit, and I can see what they meant. At first, Mint.com gives you high hopes: it just looks like something that was built with end user in mind. However, once you start using it, you quickly realize that it's yet another web service whose goal is to capture your eyeballs to aggressively sell you services. Here are just a few examples. The "Overview" page, which is the first thing you see upon login, is customizable. It gives you a lot of garbage by default but you can spend 15 minutes going through various customizations to unselect all the randomness vying for your attention. However, once you unselect everything but "Accounts", you get a page that shows dozens of ads under the guise of "Ways To Save", with just a couple tiny links on the left to look up your accounts. Utterly useless. The "Alerts" page has another myriad customizations. I wanted to be alerted to "large deposits", since a large deposit would indicate rent received. I started getting these alerts in my email but all they say is "you've received a large deposit", with no indication of how much. The alert also says "see how much I received" but if you click on that link, it just takes you to the main "Overview" page, which again is a just bunch of ads. So the alert itself is useless, the link is a lie, and all you get is ads, ads, and more ads. The "Transactions" page shows all your transactions. Except, not all your transactions but only for one randomly selected account. Um, why? I don't want to have to remember to select "All accounts" if I want to see all my transactions... and in the very least, highlight that account so I would know I am only seeing transactions for that account. Ok, moving on. Let's say you want to see all your deposits. Well, no such thing is possible. Ok, how about transactions in a specific amount? Also not possible. Ok, how about transactions in a certain category? Again, not possible. So what's the point of this transactions page if it simply shows you a list of all your transactions exactly as your bank provides them? What's the added value? All in all, I was VERY disappointed by Mint. It's yet another bare bones service with some pretty design on top whose only discernible value is in the form of customers tricked into providing eyeballs for ads. By the way, these are the actual ads on my "Overview" page: invest in commercial real estate with RealtyMogul.com, get a better deal on credit cards, get a better deal checking accounts, smarter savings accounts, get quote on auto insurance, invest in new ways with Ameritrade, see offers in brokerage, see offers in 401k, find an IRA provider, reveive a credit score. There is also a super creepy ad that says "I see you've spent $X amount in Delta flights in the last 3 months - here is an offer for you". Gross!
