Perfect from start to closing Kerri Abshire here in Texas was professional and caring. She was with us from start to finish. She bent backwards for us answering all our questions. She was also available by cell phone day or night. She made the entire process go very smoothly unlike our last experience with a different company. Ms Abshire was very genuine.

We are completely horrified by our… We are completely horrified by our experience with Gateway as our lender. Zero trust they will do the right thing for their customers. We have a fixed rate mortgage and noticed our monthly payments started going up $700+/mo. It turned out that Gateway had mistakenly gone out and purchased homeowners insurance on our behalf (completely unauthorized by us- we already have homeowners). Once we finally got them to correct and cancel it, they insisted we needed to continue to pay the additional $700+ for another month as their systems processed it. And if we didn’t, they would send us to creditors. We are completely shocked that they would not only pass along the financial burden to the customer for their mistake, but actually threaten our credit on top of it.

We had refinanced before with another company and it was stressful and they never seemed to have all of the information they needed even after saying they did numerous times, so we were hesitant to try again even with money and year savings on the loan. My husband filled out a survey just to see what was out there and we got numerous calls from lenders who would not quit. Finally he spoke with Melonie at Gateway and we thought we'd give them a try. So glad we did!! Our experience was wonderful! We were even on vacation with not a lot of connectivity towards the end of the process and while we did have some forms to sign off on Melonie helped us do it the easiest way possible to get back to our vacation. In the end we got a great rate and were able to take 10 years off of our loan. Very happy we went with Gateway!
