USTypical bait and switch operation! Legal loansharking I was attracted to this company for a title loan, based on the website, which I thought was more transparent than other sites about what exactly the deal would look like, the interest rate, and payments. It turned out that this was simply your typical bait and switch operation. Submitted the application, which takes about two hours rather than 30 minutes described, they immediately set up an appointment for me 45 minutes away without providing any information regarding whether my loan was approved or not and what the terms would be. When I got there, I got a call from Miami (they do not have actual locations with credex staff anywhere but Miami), and the deal I was offered was completely different from what I had been led to believe from the website. The website was very clear with an example of $5000 at 19% interest over 24 months with a payment of $255 per month. Despite their website calculating that my car was valued for a loan up to $5000, once I got there they said it could be no more than $4000. And the terms advertised on the website were a complete fiction! They do not even use a percentage rate as above. They have a shady way of charging a straight $1500 fee for the loan, but then they try not to tell you upfront, you have to press and get out of Calculator, about the additional four dollars per day over two years, they charge you . In other words, the final loan terms were laughably that I would pay a total over two years of almost double the $4000 loan, or an interest rate equal to about 46%!! Typical bait and switch scam. I walked out! They count on the fact that by the time someone goes through all the trouble with their application and providing them everything they need and driving to their site, that when they give them the news about their deal, which is totally out of the reality of what they thought they were going to get, people will be desperate enough to grab it anyway, as they are prepared to give you a check right that moment. Basically a scam , or for people who do not care about such Usery terms for getting a small loan. Legal loan shocking! I walked out.

USThese people are predatory These people are predatory! I had a late payment with the Credex location in Tampa which cost me a ridiculous amount of money and I nearly lost my car. Just 3-months ago I initiated a $1200 title loan; using my paid off car as collateral. They seemed so nice initially and presented the offering as being fair and flexible.A short time later, I fell on harder times, which I communicated it to Credex, after unexpectedly being laid off from my job of over 5-years. I called in and apologized for the late payment and told the agent that I planned on fully paying off my loan early, as soon as my severance check arrived; which may take a few weeks. They assured me it was ok and notated my account. Despite never getting any calls, emails or mailed warnings, Credex instructed Action Towing of Tampa to come and repossess my vehicle from my private gated property early yesterday morning. I was shocked they could take the entire car when this involved this tiny loan representing a fraction of the cars resale value. My car conservatively is 15 times what I owed. They claimed to have tried calling my phone but I had no records of any calls, texts or voicemails. Since I was not given any warning or other options; I had to borrow money, pay my entire loan balance; plus interest for a full year's APR of 30%, to fulfill my contract; and truly excessive towing costs; totaling nearly $2800 all-together. Remember I only borrowed a mere $1200 loan -3 months ago. That payment supposedly included $425 in repossession fees from Action Towing; to be paid to Credex altogether in advance, and I owed nothing at the time of pickup To Action Towing. I paid in full and was told by both Action Towing and Credex I was fully paid and to come get the car. However, when I arrived Action Towing they told me I still owed them $160 directly or I couldn't have my car. I guess this was for "additional storage fees" for 2 days since the car had been in lot for just over 24-hrs. I attempted to pay yesterday but action towing hadn't sent the fee paperwork to Credex in time for me to get the payoff amount, make the payment and get confirmation before they closed at 5PM. Action said they needed my receipt of full payment sent over by Credex before I could even get the lot address or be assigned a pick up appointment time. I questioned how the towing and storage could be well over the legal tow limits for Tampa as outlined in county statues /laws I looked up. The woman from Action towing said those laws don't apply to repossesion towing even though they are exactly the same work. I'm still investigating and getting legal advice to determine if that's true. Credex even made it especially hard to justmake the payment because Credex now refused to accept credit cards or debit cards from me on the computer or phone; and the only option provided was to go to Walmart and use money gram bill pay option with a requirement of paying in all cash only too. Keep in mind this was all without transportation to get there and required additional costs to Uber to bank, Walmart, and finally the 19-miles to get to the towing storage place where my car was taken, despite Action towing having a facility only 6-miles from my home. Now I can see this was intentional to make it hard for me to pay and hard to retrieve my property too... It seems they were more interested in keeping my car to auction it off and make a ton on a little loan. I bet id never see any money in excess of loan either; even though the cars value is so much higher. They can simply sell to a dealership they partner with at well below market value and both profit while taking from the poor! This is despicable! Why else refuse normal US legal tender and make the only resolution full payment in cash at walmart? Also why stick the poor with the most excessive fees?To expect the already struggling client who can't even come up with one payment; to swing all that, is ridiculous. They knew I had nothing until severance, unemployment or a new job came. I expect all 3 next week thank goodness! since I made the unlikely outrageous payoff happen thanks to family help; the screwed me once more for the additional $160 as a final money grab. They towed my car for a few miles and charged $585. If that isn't illegal; it should be! I'm notifying the consumer protection agency and BBB about both Credex and Action Towing. They prey on those experiencIng hard times economically. If it wasn't for my mother in law; I would have lost my only form of transportation over this ordeal. SCUM BAGS!!!

USThis company is HORRIBLE This company is HORRIBLE! Do NOT waste your time. It says all over the website that the application process only takes around 30 minutes. That is LIE! It took me almost 3 hours to get everything uploaded. I kept getting errors and "invalid format" every time I tried uploading a document. Not only did it take forever but after my application was submitted I received a phone call stating that my application was accepted and I would receive a phone call the next morning with details on how to continue. I get the call just for them to tell me I was denied with no explanation. I am supposedly recieving a email sometime within the next 2 weeks with the reason why I was denied. VERY FRUSTRATING! Why was I told the application was accepted If I was denied? Why did they need to wait until the next day to tell me I was denied when I submitted my application around 4pm. (eastern time) I feel like I was given the run around with this company and will definitely be sure to make sure to tell all my friends and family to never go with this company! Way to much of a hassle spending hours on the computer for nothing!

USApplied online and was approved for a… The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was approved for a title loan and had uploaded all documents needed to proceed and just needed to sign paper work. Credex called me to go and just sign paper work at Seguros Insurance at 2607 Simpson rd Kissimmee FL 34744. The woman there was giving me a hard time because I did not bring the Title to the vehicle not knowing that the title was electronically sent to the lenders from the DMV. The woman seemed agitated with me. After everything I told her her that her attitude toward me seemed aggressive and If everything was alright. She then lost control and yelled at me and kicked me and my 80 year old mother out of her office. I do not know how an unstable person can have a job like that.

USCharges for additional Services Towbuster I am a long term Credex client. My second title loan is only a few month left. They have good customer service at call center and the offices. Very well trained personal. Interest rate at 28.68%, very high also charges for Towbuster membership, which doesn't make any sense but they force those charges mandatory. Why to pay for a service that you don't need, I have my Progressive insurance full cover and AAA. This shouldn't happen, they are using this membership to collect and force clients to pay for. That is not a good practice and we are looking into this issue. I'll will pay my balance during next few days and will never use them ever again. Just be careful when they give loan proposal and challenge aditional stuff, legaly isn't mandatory.
