GBI like the flexibility to save... I like the flexibility to save money without over-thinking the process.

GBI’ve been trying to withdraw money from… I’ve been trying to withdraw money from my acorns account for several weeks waiting for them to verify my new checking account. Apparently the only possible way to do this is to let them know when 2 small deposits are made into that checking account. The problem is that the 2 small amounts have never appeared in my account and so they refuse to release my money. Such poor customer support and still holding my money hostage

GBThey are holding my money hostage They are holding my money hostage. I’ve had an Acorns account for a long time now. I have built up quite a stack and need to access the funds. I closed the bank account I initially had connected and am trying to link another account. Acorns keeps saying I need to verify my bank information, and I’ve sent the information three times. They keep sending the same message, and now they say they need the bank documents from Wells Fargo, which is a closed account, and I’d have to call the bank and wait seven days for them to mail a statement to me. It's already been over seven days trying to verify my account. Ridiculous. I have all the necessary paperwork to verify myself and my current bank. I don’t need to verify an old bank account; I shut down to access my funds. Very frustrating! And they don’t make it easy to contact an actual human being for help.

GBI can agree that if you try to pull… I can agree that if you try to pull your money out, you will absolutely get bent over by this company. They waited until my bank was low, took money out, returned it; then charged me 4 months subscription $39 making my bank account go negatives. Customer service is awful, and I pray customer service allows me to get my $200s back on Monday. Fidelity is way better and I’m happy I’ve trusted them with my thousands.

GBMany ways to save with Acorn I’ve had an Acorn account for more than 3 years now. I read about it in an AARP magazine. Once I tried it I got hooked. I have direct withdrawals from my checking account of $20 per week, then I forget about it. Out of the sudden I need extra money, and Acorn saves my day all the time.
