They pay people for all their positive reviews THIS COMPANY IS ALL KIND OF SHADY AND WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE BUT THEY ALL TELL THE SAME STORY OF HOW WE EITHER GOT SCAMMED OR ALMOST. THEY ARE BAD NEWS AND I WOULDN'T ADVICE ANYONE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. $70,000 HELD IN THEIR POSSESSION BECAUSE I REFUSED TO PAY THE RIDICULOUS CHARGES THEY CAME UP WITH OUT OF THIN AIR. Citibank is the worst I have been with Citibank for many years, but the bank has change and itbis terrible now. The customer service is horrible, the international line is even worse. The bank does not offer any protection for fraudulent transactions and actually allow them. They wouldn't investigate and rather close the dispute without communicating their decision to me. Unauthorized transaction made abroad and I supplied proof. They do not care. It used to be a good bank, now is the worst place to put your money. I am closing my accounts and opening a new one with Chase. Stay away.

CITI SUCKS! Quite simply, this is NOT a bank for the average, everyday customer. This is a bank that values it's commercial clients over the little guy every time. They lie about interest rates (bait and switch), and don't ever have a dispute with a merchant. They will win every time even when provided with written proof of the issue. There are better credit card deals out there and better banks like Discover that are upfront with their customers about everything, offer competitive interest rates and LISTENS to their customer base. RUN, don't walk away from this bank!!!

NEVER USE CITIBANK! Don't get sucked into signing up for Citibank card when booking AA flights like I did. They promised a $200 statement credit if I signed up for their card when booking a flight. I did & got approved but they will not honor the $200 credit. Awful, useless non-existent customer service, repeatedly telling me "there's nothing we can do". I cancelled the card. I will never use them or American again as I feel conned. I will stick to Chase and United whom I've used consistently for over 15 years ~ much better service and flights.

I was recently diagnosed with stage 4… I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. They did surgery a week ago Tuesday and found massive spread. They closed me back up and gave me 4 to 5 months to live. I've never missed a payment in my life. I called all creditors and made arrangements to get my affairs situated and all balances paid. Hopefully with some consideration for hardship. Every company ACCEPT Citibank offered some help. Citibank, without notice closed my account. What an immoral, dirty, sinful company Citibank is. They literally closed my account because I'm dying of cancer!!!!
