One thing that contributed to the simplicity was the fact that I had already done lots of reading about what to expect when signing up for Medicare, depending on whether you are or aren't currently getting Social Security payments. There were no surprises and I was very pleased with the process, and timely updates afterward.

Still got nowhere Called twice, on hold 30 minutes first time, an hour second time, then disconnected. I changed my name at April 11th appointment. I received my Social security card, but need Medicare card. Medicare told me last week they can’t send new card because social security hasn’t notified them of name change. Social security said they aren’t required to notify them. Someone, please help me!!! I have upcoming Doctor appointments, and need card with name correctly on it.
