My experience with SafetyWing has been not great My experience with SafetyWing has unfortunately eroded the trust I initially had in their services. I submitted a medical claim (Claim ID CINV10012966) on February 16, 2024, and have been left without any updates or reimbursement for over two months now. Despite reaching out multiple times, the lack of communication and transparency is unacceptable and not in line with the professional standards expected from a reputed insurance provider. Claims are not just numbers; they are people's wellbeing and peace of mind. As customers, we enter into an agreement with SafetyWing with the expectation of support when needed. The prolonged silence and inaction on my claim is a serious concern and reflects poorly on SafetyWing's commitment to its clients.

Great travel insurance run by real people I used my travel insurance benefit while in the US and it was a straightforward process that minimized the stress in a difficult situation. The team at SafetyWing is also great at connecting with other like-minded travelers and everyone I've ever interacted with has been friendly, helpful, and passionate about what they do.

They don’t cover your medical expenses They don’t cover your medical expenses. Only if you pay 250$ they will asume the costs from that amount. I made a claim during my trip in Vietnam and never received the money from the insurance. So, in my opinion it’s basically a scam.

Amazingly fast and prompt service Had to visit a hospital while in Thailand. Put in a claim at 16:58 and at 17:03 it got accepted. The money was is in my account by the next day. Couldn’t have hoped for a better process. Wasn’t even asked to write a review but felt it was due.

BEWARE !!! BEWARE !!! Don't fall for their electronics lost luggage or electronics theft policies/ add-ons. They are misleading and in turn very bureaucratic. Making it near impossible with many hoops to jump through to lodge a claim. Be very careful, I would hope that the health benefits would outweigh their options of add-ons. I think it's fair to suggest the add-ons are a scam. I would recommend other travel insurance options and from your own country of residence. Not a global conglomerate. Unfortunately, my choice to use Safety Wing was influenced by a YouTube video that was sponsored. It all seemed great. I acknowledge my poor judgement. Please don't be fooled. Hope this review helps.
