Amazingly fast and prompt service Had to visit a hospital while in Thailand. Put in a claim at 16:58 and at 17:03 it got accepted. The money was is in my account by the next day. Couldn’t have hoped for a better process. Wasn’t even asked to write a review but felt it was due.

They don’t cover your medical expenses They don’t cover your medical expenses. Only if you pay 250$ they will asume the costs from that amount. I made a claim during my trip in Vietnam and never received the money from the insurance. So, in my opinion it’s basically a scam.

BEWARE !!! BEWARE !!! Don't fall for their electronics lost luggage or electronics theft policies/ add-ons. They are misleading and in turn very bureaucratic. Making it near impossible with many hoops to jump through to lodge a claim. Be very careful, I would hope that the health benefits would outweigh their options of add-ons. I think it's fair to suggest the add-ons are a scam. I would recommend other travel insurance options and from your own country of residence. Not a global conglomerate. Unfortunately, my choice to use Safety Wing was influenced by a YouTube video that was sponsored. It all seemed great. I acknowledge my poor judgement. Please don't be fooled. Great until you need to make a claim Everything is great until you need to make a claim. Claims are done in a different, clunkier platform, and take months to be processed. I made a claim but forgot to add the document for one of the expenses, instead of asking for it they simply closed it and didn't pay the total amount. I tried making an appeal explaining what happened and they simply rejected it saying it was a duplicate claim. Tried adding additional documents to the original claim and I got no feedback. Still trying to get paid after 3 months.

Coverage verified The true measure of insurance is what happens when you make a claim. My wife had an injury when she fell while skiing in Japan. Filing the claim was easy. Two months later we received a check for our total medical bills minus the $250 deductible. This was the third time we purchased a Safetywing policy and we will continue to use them for every international trip we take. ------------------------------------------------------ PS: I had an issue with my bank when I tried to deposit the check from Safetywing, which was resolved.
