However, there has been a slight delay with the processing of claim because of their system but it has been sorted. Amazing customer support and very good coverage for digital nomads. The customer support is simply the best. The claims process is also quite alright. They handle it thru a 3rd party partner - WorldTrips - so the clunkiness is not SafetyWing's issue, but as far as I know since November 2023 already SafetyWing handle everything themselves, and it's much easier and faster to claim and receive a refund. Would definitely recommend. Been using them for almost a year of traveling thru South America, had a couple of situations where I needed medical attention from a doctor and all expenses, for about a $1000 combined, were refunded without an issue.
