GBThis company charges you $50 dollars if… This company charges you $50 dollars if you cancel for ANY reason or they cancel you before your renewal. I just got them on July 22nd but it was a big mistake!! The customer service I received from this company makes me know I will NEVER go back. They are a smaller company and with these practices they will stay just that. I went and got a 6 month policy from Progressive and it was cheaper plus their customer service is wonderful and available when you need them! Do yourself a favor and don’t go with this company. They put this information on the hard copy of the application page at the very bottom which is shady. They also refuse to set a future cancellation date without proof of new coverage. I work for an insurance company and no it it is NOT STANDARD to charge a $50 dollar fee regardless of the cancellation reason as my company does not do it and we are a bigger company!

GBNot Sure About Novo When I was purchasing my insurance policy, the website gave me the price for the first month's payment and also indicated what my next monthly payment would be. I then downloaded the app and next month's payment was $5 higher than what the website said it would be. I contacted customer service via chat, Tasha was nice and helpful, but she indicated that Novo charges a $5 "processing" fee with every payment. I looked over the paperwork before buying the policy and didn't see that mentioned anywhere. I feel it's somewhat dishonest to say "here is what you'll be paying next month" and not have it be accurate, especially since they obviously know they'll be charging a $5 fee for each installment paid. Again, I didn't see the $5 fee mentioned anywhere. I think it's odd that they have a processing fee on the monthly payments anyway but for it to be added on in a sneaky way like that seems incredibly shady and is definitely making me second-guess and feel much less comfortable using Novo for car insurance.
