AUInsurance Claim - Excessive Delays and Disputed Re-instatement Be very concerned if AmTrust International is your insurance underwriter! My house was impacted by escaped water late December 2022. Building insurance claim lodged with AmTrust International on 3 Jan 2023. It took several weeks for AmTrust to assign a loss adjustor to visit the property given the volume of impacted properties from a deep freeze across the UK. The initial Sedgwick loss adjustor appointed was great. However, 6 months into the restoration, a new Sedgwick loss adjuster was assigned. The entire restoration has been on hold since then. Items previously considered acceptable to Sedgwick and AmTrust are being challenged. It has now been more than 1 year and I have had to engage lawyers and tried contacting the CEO, directly. The Financial Ombudsman is the next stop following AmTrust not addressing a formal complaint lodged 11 weeks ago. Meanwhile my house sits as an empty shell with no insulation, that I am paying to heat to avoid repeat issues. AmTrust International should be ashamed of themselves and I would seek building insurance elsewhere if you can.

GBNever been treated this badly I have had nothing but ill treatment from this company. I’ve never been compelled to write a bad review on any business page, but I am at my end with these people. I have been hung up on multiple times. Instead of directing me to someone with correct information I am being given false information and told to do different tasks that have, time and time again, failed to reach anyone who will help. What is my money going to? I would not recommend using Amtrust. Most people that work with them are just there to get a paycheck. Scammers.

GBAmtrust is disgustingly greedy and… Amtrust is disgustingly greedy and operates their business in a repulsive manner. I obtained a business insurance policy from them in 2022, only to be hit with an audit demanding $51,000 in premiums. Despite faithfully paying $500 per month, they insisted I also insure my contractors, even though they are contractors for a reason. My business had no issues, no disputes, and no one filing claims against me. The agency I worked with, Newfront, is equally terrible and conveniently failed to mention the premium audits before I signed the contract. I have disputed the audit, but they refuse to provide a clear explanation for this exorbitant premium. I have involved a lawyer in this matter. This company is utterly atrocious, incapable of effective communication when they demand over $50,000 from me. I will never use them again. Stay as far away as humanly possible.

GBAvoid this company at all costs Avoid this company! I made a simple insurance claim for storm damage over three months ago, and they have still not even processed the paperwork. Every time I ring they say they have a backlog of claims to get through and that they will prioritise my claim - this is to fob me off, because nothing ever happens. The original water damage has now worsened because of their unwillingness to deal with my claim. I am frustrated and angry, and will have to make a complaint to the financial ombudsman as a last resort.

GBExtremely Frustrating I just attempted to pay an audit amount for my AP intego insurance policy. The online payment option said "not available for this policy" and when I called the phone number, it said my credit card could not be processed. I then waited for awhile on hold and got a representative who told me you have to press # after typing in your CC # and expiration date, which is never stated when you call their number. This whole process was extremely frustrating and could cause people to not make their payments timely, which could affect their credit score.
