John Maxwell Team John Maxwell Team is a great community, however it works best if you are in a USA time Zone. Being out that time zone makes it difficult to participate in real time.

I love John's books but… I love John's books but I was very disappointed by how rudely I was treated when I reached out to the organization inquiring about hiring a coach.

Done hesitate make your move today. Signing up to be a member of the JMT has completed transformed my life. We have so much valuable content right at our finger tips, it can be a bit over whelming at times. The John Maxwell Team is more then a membership, its a culture. A culture to have the tools to constantly developing yourself.

Has the JMT lost sight of its mission Has the JMT lost sight of its mission? Sadly, it seems as the mission is more about building checkbooks than serving others. It is heartbreaking. I really believed that this was different and yet greed seems to have outweighed service. It has become more about pay to play. We are taught to "avoid the shiny object" syndrome however at each turn we are being asked to spend more to get more. We are taught "we are enough" yet in order to be enough we are to buy another class or program or position. Access to certain "privileges" is purchased and then the bar is raised so more money is required to obtain the same access. The leadership team is changing without sufficient explanation. We build a relationship with someone and then they are gone. Is this also a money thing? Are other "leaders" being brought in at half the price? Finally, the leadership does not reflect the demographics of the group. Women are over represented in support roles and not in leadership positions even though the demographics of the group are likely to be a 50/50 split male to female. A classic patriarchal organization. Another disappointing fact about the JMT. On the bright side, I have met some of the most amazing people in my life. Highly motivated to change the world. For me, the greatest value has been the people I've met and the impact they are having. John C. Maxwell is one of the most amazing men I know. An outstanding leader, story teller and speaker. Is this the legacy he wants to leave?

No honor. I was in jail. I talked to someone in sales about a new van for my wife and made CLEAR where I was and my need for someone to take good care of my wife during the purchase. When THE DAY came, sent her up there with my dad and a checkbook. Everything seemed to go well (except that they did not have the van that I had originally been discussing with the saleslady). Note that my wife did not speak a lot of English at the time and had little experience buying cars- thus the reason that I sent my dad with her. Again, negotiations seemed to go fine at this point. A deal was made. A deposit put down (I am not sure as to why they could not take delivery on the spot, as we were paying cash for the vehicle). A schedule was planned for my wife to pick up the van and give the final check on the Thursday that week. Thus the problems began: - My wife returned without my dad (her insurance against getting scammed) - My wife had been CLEAR that she DID NOT want an extended warranty - The original salesperson did not help my wife, instead, some other salesperson (or manager???) did - ABUSING her inability to speak good English and NOT providing anyone to interpret and AGAINST her previously established desire to NOT purchase an extended service agreement, they added one. - All my wife knew was that the final check was for about $2000 MORE than the original agreement was (before tax numbers). Fast forward a few years (originally this was 2018) to 2022 and my wife has a blowout returning from a family gathering (Thanksgiving) around 3am. She calls her brother (who was close) and he came to change the tire... next set of problems: - No spare. - No jack. So she has to call an emergency roadside person who charges $360 to sell her a tire, mount it, and send her on her way. By this time (2022) I am home. I am upset about not having a spare. I dig through paperwork with the intention of finding out if it is on the original window sticker. I found all the paperwork. Next series of problems: - I found the ADDED warranty. - I called the dealership to complain about the TWO problems -the bigger being their abuse of a non-English speaking client, but the tire is still a big deal, too. - I spoke with Nyle's son directly - he was managing the Taylor location at that time. He was PROFOUNDLY apologetic and promised to do all in his power to rectify the situation. - He NEVER followed up after that. - He NEVER returned (or even answered) another call after that. - Neither he nor anyone else that I talked to there ever made good on their commitment to get us the spare and jack. - No one even TRIED to make good on the $2000 that they NEVER HAD PERMISSION TO CHARGE for a warranty that was EXPLICITLY DECLINED. - No one ever even mentioned if possibly the ext War (that again, we never should have had) might at least cover the roadside assistance charges. No one has ever done anything. AND even our complaint to the BBB has not caused them to get some form of honorable response. My mom bought 2 3/4 ton trucks from Maxwell. My dad bought a 1 ton and a 1/2 ton. We THOUGHT that we would be doing business with them for life. Turns out that they are no better than classic image of a used car salesman. I am PITIFULLY disappointed. NEVER, EVER, EVER buy a car from the Maxwell family! (The "date of experience" on this is the date that I finally stopped actively trying to get them to do something about the prejudice and disservice that they showed/ did to my wife).
