I searched in the designated areas I wanted to reside, applied to multiple properties, had a few walk throughs, filled out an application and got a room. The ones who were renting rooms also reached out to me but they were not in my search area so I kindly declined. If you are looking for a FREE painless experience use Roomies! Great website, users need more incentive to respond. The website itself is very well designed. Everything makes sense where it's supposed to be, having the options to purchase background checks and verifying IDs to help bring comfort to those renting out rooms is also fantastic. Something they could do better Is when searching for a room it would be nice to have an option to search as A city and then apply a radius around. In some areas you have to look up each small town to find something as opposed to searching one and seeing everything nearby. Another thing that's a gripe but it's nothing with the website itself, it's the users. They don't seem to have much motivation to respond. I could have sent 50 plus messages and I would be lucky to get five back but that's how the game goes.

Very helpful! Love this site, over the years I have found 2 roommates and someone to take over a lease through this site. Because of their verification process I feel very safe in talking to people on here. They make the process of finding a roommate just a little less horrible.

Personal, safe, and easy to use. The identity verification made it easier for potential roommates to feel safe reaching out to rent my room. Fairly easy to use, especially for a free app. Also, great that the profiles helped me to know more about the potential roommates and them to know more about me as well.
