GBMisleading marketing… I realize that you have to make money to be able to maintain your site, However, I have not learned one new fact working with you that I didn’t already know. I have been using your family tree feature and have entered 10+ layers of my family. I have had tons of “hints”. Nothing has been new information. Anything new that I would want to know requires me to join your site. If you advertise online that you offer free tools they should be totally free. Just be honest on your advertising.

GBI love the access to the old maps! I love the access to the old maps! I am working on family in England and Wales. The old maps are a Godsend. There are so many places that have changed. I am going to enjoy your educational materials as well.

GBOver Time...I've Improved Over time, I felt comfortable entering data. As the tree grew, hints were provided. At one point, the tree had family names related to me that was added quickly. What I found amazing is that the hints were different from other platforms for ancestors five generations which others did not have. I'm comfortable navigating and entering data while noticing that I'm more at ease since I first started.

GBFinding My Great-Grandfather! I came to this site to find information on my great-grandparents who came from Ireland to the US in the mid-1800s. That was all I knew. The construction of a family tree, adding in my parents and grandparents, resulted in finding the names of both great-grandparents and where they were born. I spent about 3 hours reading and found the site easy to navigate, even for a tech "rookie" like me.

GBA Newbie's Comments on FMP It may be that I am too used to working with an alternative product to easily accept the differences on FMP. On the interface level, I would like more control on the look and feel of the tree diagram, namely the background colour and also to give a more solid feel to the named people. I have not yet discovered how to contract the tree via removing branches by clicking on the lines. Again, I have not discovered how to remove the stories icon that appears on each member of the tree. Why do I need to go through each set of records individually as opposed to FMP doing a global search on my behalf. Perhaps the above revels my lack of knowledge of the product, if so, then a short video on how to use the basics would be useful, and put it at the top of the help function.
