I ordered 2 probes to try out as my… I ordered 2 probes to try out as my previous soil probes from JBK Manufacting are no longer be made. The probes are good quality probes but lack the functionality - efficiency I need when sampling. The 2 available tips wet/dry don’t quite work that well in a variety of soil types which I experience daily. The tips are smaller than my previous JBK which allowed for using my finger to remove cores. These when they jam aren’t as user friendly. The windows on these new probes don’t allow the cores to “roll out” of the probe into my hand as I was accustomed to with my old probe. A slight adjustment with milling grinder would fix this as I did with mine. Lastly, I’m not a huge fan of the removable tips & handles until a better way of securing them is developed.

AMS has great customer service and products!!! AMS has great customer service, their products are built well and function as advertised. Re-ordering parts can be tricky, it is best to use their catalog and not their website if you are looking for a very specific part like a tile extension or an adapter for example. That, all in all, is a minor complaint, I still give them a five next to their competition. They also have invented gadgets to make your work efficient and easier!

The best customer service I have had in… The best customer service I have had in a very long time. I ordered two pieces of equipment that I expected to use together and they let me know after making the order that they would not function together, then offered to change my order, and did not adjust the total payment. This was exceptional and I will only be buying from this supplier when possible from now on.
