GBConstantly changing the rules because they can't keep up with payments We joined liberty healthshare In 2016. Family of five. We were enticed by their low monthly pricing and annual unshared amount as we my husband and I were both self employed with young children and were relatively healthy. In 2018, I suffered a medical issue that left me in a coma a two weeks of hospitalization. Liberty did work with me pretty well to navigate this, but my credit did take a hit. It was rough and the hospital was calling about payments. By 2021, everything was cleared up. However, oue monthly fees were going up and unshared amount was also going up, and liberty was covering/sharing less. We were also not getting reimbursements back in timely amount, with Liberty citing extenuating circumstances. In October 2023, my son needed a tumor removed. I went through all of the pre notification and worked with liberty to get it okayed. I started getting all the documents after the surgery and started sending It into LHS for reimbursement, but LHS said I had the wrong forms, not a UB04 and other tax forms. I provided all the information that they needed but they changed how they processed things and would not work with the hospital to get the right forms. We left LHS in Jan of 2024. I continued to send in paperwork for reimbursement but the story kept changing why it was denied. lHS would not get back to me. I sent in more paperwork and LHS finally said my claim was Deniwd totally because I sent it in after 60 days since we left. Even though it was the same claim and it was supporting documentation. And I had been trying to work with them and the hospital for months. They wouldn't take the information and kept blaming it on their processors. However , they somehow were able to reimburse our deposit that we paid for our son's surgery but not the whole surgery. When asked about this, they blamed my giving them information too late and the wrong information. I started giving them information and calling them a month after my son's surgery. In November of 2023. However, I kept them updated continually with their pre notification department right after his surgery that he was not staying as an inpatient. There is something that doesn't make sense. I have called, pleaded and tried everything. But, LHS is not a service worth working with.

GBThis is the absolute WORST choice you… This is the absolute WORST choice you could make. They don't pay bills, everything that is submitted ends up being sent into collections. You get NO help from anyone. Your credit score will go down due to non-payment of your bills. They don't let the Doctor or the hospital or whoever sent the bill know what is going on so they throw you into collections

GBBrenda Dodson Is The Best Brenda Dodson Is The Best! She is patient, kind and still in the process of helping us understand all the ins and outs of our healthshare. We need some serious hand holding and have had a rough year. But she's been our Angel sent to walk us through the process. In fact, because of her we will continue with our healthshare

GBA response to LHS In response to Liberty Health Share's response: 1- UCLA required $180,000 upfront for a delicate surgery I desperately needed. Why? I was informed their dealings with LHS left them footing the bills (to what financial extent I don't know). Who has that kind of money accessible??? 'Voluntary sharing" sounds great!, but most people with LHS buy into it due to the more affordable monthly cost over 'health insurance'. But when you need it, really need it, is LHS there for you? I waited nearly 4 years to have the surgery. I was scheduled twice but postpones due to the 'sharing' that caused the problems. Thank God I turned 65. Having Medicare and an affordable supplement, UCLA immediately scheduled my surgery. But, by that time my situation excerbated. 2- When a person is ill, they may not have the energy to deal with submitting paperwork monthly. They may be unable to get out of bed! Having to submit monthly forms to get $30+ back? Think of the time it takes them to process it, then send you a check. Their chances of keeping what you're due is more probable. $30 x 12 = $720/yr. Multiply that by members who are too sick to remember, or in my case taking care of a parent with dementia that leaves you emotionally exhausted. I challenge LHS to lower the cost of the monthly fee and do away with the monthly paperwork. 3- Their response to me stated, "managing your own healthcare can be a bit confusing". Then why the h-e-double L does LHS make it 'confusing'??? 4- Research on line the complaints they've received over the years. My best guess is that the only individuals who aren't complaining, are those who haven't been sick. Yet. 5- Looking back in my correspondence, I had to work with the Legal Department at The Medical Cost Savings Solution, LTD at LHS recommendation involved after a pneumoia hospitalization. That's how 'confusing' it was. 6- Good grief. (And grief it was.)

GBUnpaid bills since 2021 with $23K in collections are all paid now. Our family has been a member of Liberty Healthshare for years and years. And Liberty Healthshare has not covered our bills since 2021. I don't know if they will ever pay. --- Update 10/19/2023: After a 1-star review on TrustPilot, LibertyHealthshare contacted us and assigned a dedicated rep to look into our unpaid bills. It took 3 months and all of our outstanding bills are now paid.
