Mercari provided me with a duplicate label… I am a seller on Mercari and I shipped out a package with the label Mercari provided. Dropped off the package off to the post office Monday April 29, 2024. Waited 24 hours for the package to start tracking and it never did. I write out a personalized letters to everyone so I remembered the name of the person I sent the item to. Upon looking at the actual shipping label I discovered Mercari SENT ME A DUPLICATE LABEL from a previous order. I reached out to Mercari to ask for help and of course they couldn’t own up to their mistakes and said there was nothing they could do. I spent a majority of my morning calling the post office in a different state trying to intercept this package. I almost got scammed out of 36.00$ thanks to Mercari. Good job protecting me as a seller. 10/10 do not recommend using this platform to buy or sell

The online pawn shop with service and processing fees!!!!! Mercari use to be the best place to buy and save some money. This processing fees and service fees defeat the purpose of buying a used cheaper item. Today I wanted to buy an item that was $300 dollars because brand new in Amazon was $400 dollars, anyhow upon check out my total balance was $375 dollars. At this price I'm not saving anything might as well buy it new with warranty for almost the same price. I don't know who in their administration thought it was a good idea to shove all these fees to the buyer face when it use to be a thing for every seller a "service fee". which made sense. I'm glad there's other shopping platforms online for example ebay, offer up, poshmark, Amazon etc..., because Mercari is a thing from the past, and they did it all to themselves. It was fun while it lasted.

I don’t like Mercari anymore I don’t like Mercari anymore because I noticed some extra fees. I was purchasing an item this week and noticed how the price increased when checking out due to some junk fees. I noticed that Mercari now charges fees for transaction, and payment processing, which increases the item’s price a bit much. On the other hand, other platforms, such as eBay, and Etsy, only charge sales tax and shipping because the transaction fee is paid by the sellers and not the buyer. I left Mercari. What a pitty cuz I just to buy on Mercarí.

I have been selling my estate online after selling my house and moving my lifelong treasures into storage and then Into a local shop since Dec 2020. In 4.5 years I have had 4 buyers say items broke, 3 showing no photi proof of actual item. Items totaled a bit over 600$. I was not once reimbursed even showing photos my shipping methods were consistent with "MERCARI'S POLICY." BUYER'S RETURN IS HONORED REGARDLESS OF REASON. I am reviewing now due to my 300$ ring sale being returned due to buyer's "Need to prioritize expenses." THERE IS NO POLICY HONORED OR SAFETY FOR SELLERS. We spend hours photographing, packaging, polishing, etc and loose or sake and often the entire worth of our item if the buyer claims it is broken as law states one cannot mail (return) broken items. LOOK DEEPER THAN TGE 0 SELLING FEES. I BELIEVE MERCARI IS PURCHASING OUR VALUABLE ITEMS AND STEALING THEM. 0 SELLING FEE, COME ON MERCARI!!!!!! BEWARE Mercari does NOT support… BEWARE Mercari does NOT support sellers. If a buyer lies and says you sent them a rock instead of a gold necklace, Mercari will side with the buyer and the seller will be at a loss. No matter what the seller does, not matter what evidence the seller has, they do not care about the sellers… because they make money off the buyers. Also, their buyer fees are super high. Mercari does not care… I repeat, they do not care about sellers at all!!! Save yourself a headache, your money, and your product and go to Poshmark instead, they are fair and treat buyers and sellers with respect and dignity.
