GB0 STARS!! Scam for sellers. 0 STARS!!! NO SELLER PROTECTIIN!!!! I have been selling my estate online after selling my house and moving my lifelong treasures into storage and then Into a local shop since Dec 2020. In 4.5 years I have had 4 buyers say items broke, 3 showing no photi proof of actual item. Items totaled a bit over 600$. I was not once reimbursed even showing photos my shipping methods were consistent with "MERCARI'S POLICY." BUYER'S RETURN IS HONORED REGARDLESS OF REASON. I am reviewing now due to my 300$ ring sale being returned due to buyer's "Need to prioritize expenses." THERE IS NO POLICY HONORED OR SAFETY FOR SELLERS. We spend hours photographing, packaging, polishing, etc and loose or sake and often the entire worth of our item if the buyer claims it is broken as law states one cannot mail (return) broken items. LOOK DEEPER THAN TGE 0 SELLING FEES. I BELIEVE MERCARI IS PURCHASING OUR VALUABLE ITEMS AND STEALING THEM. 0 SELLING FEE, COME ON MERCARI!!!!!! GBDefinitely not a good shopping experience Wow, are these people for real? on their website It says we ship to the 50 states I live in Alaska and one of those 50 states they say they don’t ship to Alaska. They only ship to the 50 states WTH I cannot believe this must be these people didn’t go to school. they charge my credit card. I have not got a shipping confirmation yet, they keep going round and round. I cannot even message the seller. It is grayed out. I want everyone to know that they should shop elsewhere. This is not a good buyer site. Called seven of their customer service numbers and you cannot talk to anyone. I will not give out my phone number to these people. Other reviewers say they call your number once they get it and harass you I can believe it.

GBScammers all the way! As a seller and buyer I will never use them again. Selling, unjustified doubling of shipping charges after sale is complete. This is called bait and switch fraud in any other context. Zero customer service. Kafka-esque circular non communication. Their new return policy is absurd. Buying, their new fees are as absurd as their new return policy.

GBBe very careful with the Mercari… Be very careful with the Mercari platform itself when buying or selling. The company’s A.I. Bot scans ads and transactions for activity that could be ‘construed’ as a violation thus prohibited conduct. The system will then simply shut-down your account and attempt to freeze your funds. - Escalating the situation to a human/customer service has no bearing or influence at all. - It almost seems like this is one of Mercari’s revenue streams is to shut-down account and keep your funds. I highly recommend using other well known and trustworthy platforms instead.

GBI have made 5 transactions in the past 2 weeks I have made 5 transactions in the last 2 weeks on Mercari. All went smoothly until the last one, when a subwoofer arrived that wasn't packed to well and was damaged. I contacted Mercari and customer service was awesome. Yes, there is payment processing fees and service fees, but I still paid less on Mercari than I would have on eBay. One of my purchases was a fairly new Denon Networking 7.1 receiver was $75 plus $40 shipping. The thing is absolutely amazing and weighs 30 lbs On eBay it was $175 plus $50 shipping! I'll pass
