GBMercari provided me with a duplicate label… I am a seller on Mercari and I shipped out a package with the label Mercari provided. Dropped off the package off to the post office Monday April 29, 2024. Waited 24 hours for the package to start tracking and it never did. I write out a personalized letters to everyone so I remembered the name of the person I sent the item to. Upon looking at the actual shipping label I discovered Mercari SENT ME A DUPLICATE LABEL from a previous order. I reached out to Mercari to ask for help and of course they couldn’t own up to their mistakes and said there was nothing they could do. I spent a majority of my morning calling the post office in a different state trying to intercept this package. I almost got scammed out of 36.00$ thanks to Mercari. Good job protecting me as a seller. 10/10 do not recommend using this platform to buy or sell

GBI have used Mecari for 3 years I have used Mecari for 3 years now and have about 200 purchases from them. The biggest problem I have with this platform is the buffering I experience on a weekly basis where I can't even get in. Secondly they just added fees which makes buying more expensive. The products are great, the platform needs work. If there is a problem, there's nobody to contact and believe me, I have tried. I have slowed down my buying because adding fees to me is just wrong. They are making an added profit off of what I buy which before, there weren't any of these fees. End of the day, I think they are cutting their nose off to spite their face. I've spent money with them, now not so much anymore.

GBMercari frequently updates its… Mercari frequently updates its policies, such as adjusting shipping prices, and initially required sellers to manually update their listings to reflect these changes, which seemed questionable. Lately, Mercari has stopped charging sellers selling fees, instead shifting the cost to buyers. This change has made buyers less willing to pay for service fees on top of shipping and taxes, resulting in fewer sales. Additionally, Mercari now charges sellers a $2 fee for withdrawing any amount of balance, every.single. time, which is excessive!! When buyers stop making purchases on Mercari, sellers don't make sales, which means Mercari doesn't earn any revenue. Bad decision Mercari.

GBBEWARE Mercari does NOT support… BEWARE Mercari does NOT support sellers. If a buyer lies and says you sent them a rock instead of a gold necklace, Mercari will side with the buyer and the seller will be at a loss. No matter what the seller does, not matter what evidence the seller has, they do not care about the sellers… because they make money off the buyers. Also, their buyer fees are super high. Mercari does not care… I repeat, they do not care about sellers at all!!! Save yourself a headache, your money, and your product and go to Poshmark instead, they are fair and treat buyers and sellers with respect and dignity.

GBFalse Advertising I purchased a necklace listed as an authentic Tiffany and Co. brand. In January of this year. It is now April and the silver on the necklace is tarnished. Because their policy is 15 days you have to make a complaint they can’t do anything about it at all. Not even investigate and message the seller about false advertising. A real Tiffany necklace will probably not tarnish at 15 days but did at 4 months. Ridiculous. I do not trust Mercari anymore as it appears there is no way for them to regulate the sellers items and advertising
