GBGoodbye Mercari I've been using Mercari for years and am going to have to stop. You are trying to attract sellers but losing buyers with these new fees. A whole $15 on top of the purchase price and shipping??? This is not going to end well..

GBDefinitely not a good shopping experience Wow, are these people for real? on their website It says we ship to the 50 states I live in Alaska and one of those 50 states they say they don’t ship to Alaska. They only ship to the 50 states WTH I cannot believe this must be these people didn’t go to school. they charge my credit card. I have not got a shipping confirmation yet, they keep going round and round. I cannot even message the seller. It is grayed out. I want everyone to know that they should shop elsewhere. This is not a good buyer site. Called seven of their customer service numbers and you cannot talk to anyone. I will not give out my phone number to these people. Other reviewers say they call your number once they get it and harass you I can believe it.

GBBEWARE Mercari does NOT support… BEWARE Mercari does NOT support sellers. If a buyer lies and says you sent them a rock instead of a gold necklace, Mercari will side with the buyer and the seller will be at a loss. No matter what the seller does, not matter what evidence the seller has, they do not care about the sellers… because they make money off the buyers. Also, their buyer fees are super high. Mercari does not care… I repeat, they do not care about sellers at all!!! Save yourself a headache, your money, and your product and go to Poshmark instead, they are fair and treat buyers and sellers with respect and dignity.

GBSeller beware! Seller beware!! I sold an authentic perfume which I have a receipt for proving it came from an authorized retailer. Upon receiving it the buyer claimed it was fake based only on it "not smelling right" and asked Mercari for a refund/return. Mercari said they were initiating a "review". There is no way to contact Mercari or add your side of the story to the review. Within a couple hours they ruled that the item was "not as listed" despite buyer images looking exactly like my listing images so clearly it was the same item I was advertising for sale. Mercari did not reach out to me for my evidence, side of the story, or proof of authenticity, which I would have happily provided. So the buyer is returning it after using some of it. I am out the cost of my packaging materials, and now have an item with less product in it that has been deemed inauthentic by Mercari despite being 100% legit. Glad it was an inexpensive item that I learned my lesson on.

GBMercari frequently updates its… Mercari frequently updates its policies, such as adjusting shipping prices, and initially required sellers to manually update their listings to reflect these changes, which seemed questionable. Lately, Mercari has stopped charging sellers selling fees, instead shifting the cost to buyers. This change has made buyers less willing to pay for service fees on top of shipping and taxes, resulting in fewer sales. Additionally, Mercari now charges sellers a $2 fee for withdrawing any amount of balance, every.single. time, which is excessive!! When buyers stop making purchases on Mercari, sellers don't make sales, which means Mercari doesn't earn any revenue. Bad decision Mercari.
