GBAll of the sudden I could not send a… All of the sudden I could not send a message or offer to a seller on an item I wanted. I didn't really care for that as I had not done anything wrong or inappropriate. I had made a comment on the boots that they needed new soles, even though the seller listed as in good condition. After a month + that comment was not approved. Today, when trying to make an offer I was informed I could not contact the seller or make comments. So I deleted my account in response. GBI don’t like Mercari anymore I don’t like Mercari anymore because I noticed some extra fees. I was purchasing an item this week and noticed how the price increased when checking out due to some junk fees. I noticed that Mercari now charges fees for transaction, and payment processing, which increases the item’s price a bit much. On the other hand, other platforms, such as eBay, and Etsy, only charge sales tax and shipping because the transaction fee is paid by the sellers and not the buyer. I left Mercari. What a pitty cuz I just to buy on Mercarí.

GBMercari frequently updates its… Mercari frequently updates its policies, such as adjusting shipping prices, and initially required sellers to manually update their listings to reflect these changes, which seemed questionable. Lately, Mercari has stopped charging sellers selling fees, instead shifting the cost to buyers. This change has made buyers less willing to pay for service fees on top of shipping and taxes, resulting in fewer sales. Additionally, Mercari now charges sellers a $2 fee for withdrawing any amount of balance, every.single. time, which is excessive!! When buyers stop making purchases on Mercari, sellers don't make sales, which means Mercari doesn't earn any revenue. Bad decision Mercari.

GB0 STARS!! Scam for sellers. 0 STARS!!! NO SELLER PROTECTIIN!!!! I have been selling my estate online after selling my house and moving my lifelong treasures into storage and then Into a local shop since Dec 2020. In 4.5 years I have had 4 buyers say items broke, 3 showing no photi proof of actual item. Items totaled a bit over 600$. I was not once reimbursed even showing photos my shipping methods were consistent with "MERCARI'S POLICY." BUYER'S RETURN IS HONORED REGARDLESS OF REASON. I am reviewing now due to my 300$ ring sale being returned due to buyer's "Need to prioritize expenses." THERE IS NO POLICY HONORED OR SAFETY FOR SELLERS. We spend hours photographing, packaging, polishing, etc and loose or sake and often the entire worth of our item if the buyer claims it is broken as law states one cannot mail (return) broken items. LOOK DEEPER THAN TGE 0 SELLING FEES. I BELIEVE MERCARI IS PURCHASING OUR VALUABLE ITEMS AND STEALING THEM. 0 SELLING FEE, COME ON MERCARI!!!!!! GBI have made 5 transactions in the past 2 weeks I have made 5 transactions in the last 2 weeks on Mercari. All went smoothly until the last one, when a subwoofer arrived that wasn't packed to well and was damaged. I contacted Mercari and customer service was awesome. Yes, there is payment processing fees and service fees, but I still paid less on Mercari than I would have on eBay. One of my purchases was a fairly new Denon Networking 7.1 receiver was $75 plus $40 shipping. The thing is absolutely amazing and weighs 30 lbs On eBay it was $175 plus $50 shipping! I'll pass
