Tyro II is an exceptional and budget-friendly wheelset The Tyro II is my first carbon wheelset, and I am delighted with both the quality and the value. I was looking for a budget-friendly carbon wheelset, and my extensive research led me to understand that the hubs, spokes and nipples were as important as the rims. I was also looking for hooked rims with an interior width of 21mm. When I found out the the FFWD hubs are easily serviceable without specialized tools and that the nipples were made of brass rather than aluminum, the TYRO II was a standout choice. At just under 200 lbs, I was looking for a product that could handle my weight, and since I ride 6000-7000 miles per year with roughly a 80/20 road/gravel mix, a well-constructed and easy-to-maintain hub was critically important. These wheels are fast and fun, and the hubs super quiet and engage quickly. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I'm running Specialized Pathfinder Pro 38s, and they mounted and sealed up with great ease. I couldn't recommend this product more.

Great Value Easy purchase. Good price. Quick receipt of wheel set. Love the wheel bag. Great price for such quality hubs. Only had them a week so can't speak to long term reliability yet but i can definitely feel the difference in how my bike rides. I was particularly surprised at how there was no cross wind difficulties even though i rode through a 6mph crosswind.

Purchase of Tyro II Rim Brake Wheels Shopping, payment, and delivery of wheels was seamless. Impressed with the packaging and instructions for assembly. The DT Swiss style hubs are very user-friendly, and it's nice having wheels come tubeless-ready with valves already installed. Local bike shop fine-tuned my rim brakes so they'd make contact where specified with user-oriented stickers on the new wheels. Excellent shopping, delivery, and installation from FFWD.
