GBWould give 0 stars if I could Would give 0 stars if I could. Week after week our matches have been cancelled as close as an hour before we were due to play, put down to reasons such as ‘lack of umpires’. On more than one occasion we’ve shown up ready to play, and been locked out of the hall, or found the court unsuitable to play and had to leave, with no communication from Play Netball. Dozens of members of the league have emailed complaining time and time again, and get given the same weak excuses from the ‘organizers’. I would absolutely avoid Play Netball like the plague, it’s a complete shambles

GBDo not recommend! I was assigned to a team, and added to their whats app group. I played for them for around six games and was added to their whats app group. I replied to every email twice a week confirming my availability/unavailability for the next match. After two family grievances in close proximity, I kept responding to the automated emails declining my attendance at two matches but did not tell the whats app group (two weeks silence on the whats app group). When I returned from sick leave I had been removed from the whats app group and stoped receiving emails from Play Netball, after I had just paid the for the season. I tried contacting play netball directly but received no response. I do not recommend this company to anyone who values good communication skills, team work and integrity.

GBWorst social league Worst social league This league is entirely focused on taking money and not on playing. The central team are slow to respond, assign teams, get the right level for players or teams. There is also the intimidation about signing up for leagues and potential debt that I’ve never experienced anywhere else! Local managers & umpires are for the most part very poor. Run through Facebook, they resort to posts about teams or players when they’re not happy. There is no involvement in helping to organise fill ins, which could make sure people always got a game. It really feels like they couldn’t care less as long as they get your money. I’m sure the only reason people join is because it’s local. I’d recommend alternative leagues if available.

GBPlay-netball is too expensive at £5 for… Play-netball is too expensive at £5 for 32 minutes on court time. Local leagues play 48 minutes on court at £2.50 per game. Its great that so many ladies are getting back to netball but if your aim to encourage ladies to get fit, make friends and enjoy the sport you need to acknowledge that you are excluding a significant proportion of our local population.

GBPlay Netball Southampton I play in both the Tuesday and Thursday Southampton leagues and manage a team. The league is well organized with a good level of communication (via email and FB pages), and match scores/fixtures are updated promptly on the website. It's a social league with a good balance of competitiveness whilst remaining fun and friendly. I've been in some truly awful netball leagues but our team was more than happy to pay extra to play in the Play Netball league.
