GBIncredible We visited many different places. We saw the highlights of the different areas we visited. The country-side was beautiful and the cities/towns were dazzling. It made me want to know more about the country and eager to visit again. Our guide did a great job of making the trip perfect for 16 very independent individuals. I always felt safe and was amazed at how friendly and welcoming people were.

GBWhat an adventure!! We were a group of 10 women on a trip to a country none of us had visited before: Costa Rica. Our local guide, Ivan, was a wealth of knowledge about the country’s history, geology and natural wildlife. We all learned so much and are grateful for his expertise and professionalism. Ivan was a strong leader who made us feel safe and had answers to all of our questions. Our driver, Jorge, was also a true gentleman who clearly cared for his passengers. Ivan and Jorge were our dream team who made this trip extra special. I will definitely be booking another trovatrip thanks to this wonderful experience!

GBDo not host a Trova trip if you care about your community I was the host on a recent Trova trip and I had an appalling experience. We discovered later, after the trip was fully booked up, that the trip is actually implemented by a third party who you have no communication or influence over. Problems included failing to book our group into the same hotel, so splitting the group in two and failing to book enough rooms up to 24 hours before arrival. The itinerary was riddled with poor timing issues and our guide had to rearrange it daily. He was not an expert on the area, which he was happy to confess to so had no local knowledge to impart. Overall it was a hugely stressful experience as a host. However because as a host we worked so hard behind the scenes and Italy is a gift of a destination our group enjoyed their experience, but no thanks to the trip organisers. If you care about your guests, the trusted community you have built up and your reputation, I'd steer well clear of this company. A big shame as its a great concept.

GBTrips are great but… Our only issue on all the Trova trips is being able to find the transfer person or driver when we land. My suggestion is they wear a certain bright/Neon colored shirt with a large sign saying TROVA and the hosts name LAURA CALDWELL, under it. And they have it displayed clearly to be seen in the meeting area. Our last trip to Japan with Laura was a major f-up. The driver was unaware of the group coming in to catch the 5:30 shuttle to the hotel. It took over an hour to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. There were four of us(2 groups of 2) and if not for the Trova app, we wouldn’t have found each other! Laura reimbursed us for the Taxi ride from Narita to our hotel.

GBWonderful Patagonia It was great to get to know a wonderful group of women. The hiking was well coordinated and our group of 14 had 3 guides which makes it really nice as we can go at our own pace.
