Gauley rafting I took the two-day Gauley trip which combined Saturday lower and Sunday upper rafting. Both of my guides were fantastic, the weather was cooperative, the equipment and boats were top-notch. I booked a rustic cabin, which was just as described, but definitely sufficed for my stay. The river is hard to describe, rather something to behold. Beautiful country and wonderful experience!

Fabulous time whitewater rafting over… Fabulous time whitewater rafting over Labor Day. Olivia was an amazing guide. For someone in their early 70s who had not rafted for many years, I was a bit nervous but totally reassured with excellent instruction from Barry as well as Olivia before the trip began. The Adventures on the Gorge program is so organized, fun and happnin...for old and young. Campus is outstanding. Cant wait to return. Mary Ann

Fun experience My daughter and her best friend went this past Saturday. It was raining but they both loved it. They did have a couple of issues. 1) there was no staff in the concessions stand and they were very thirsty afterwards. 2) There was a potential for eye injury with the zipline gear that could be prevented with a helmet. Communication was excellent and constant. They would definitely do it again.

Wonderful Rafting and Cabin! Had a wonderful experience rafting the Lower Gauley River on the first day of the dam release. It was my first time on the Gauley but had rafted the Lower New River twice. Our guide, Erin, was very experienced and managed to guide a raft of 4 of 6 newbies to rafting down the river with no upsets. Yay! Also, we stayed in a Kaymoor One cabin that was clean and nicely accommodated. We enjoyed our stay despite the pandemic situation.

Excellent Experience My boyfriend and I did the marathon trip on 10/9. Our trip leader, Ark, was very knowledgeable and personable. We were fortunate to also end up in a group of like-minded people and we got along super well, making the trip even more fun than imagined. The river itself was such a great trip with exhilarating class V rapids along the upper and lower rivers. Not too technical so great for someone still rather new to rafting. Lunch was PHENOMENAL and all of the staff were super kind and laid back. We cannot wait to come back and bring family or friends along for another trip in the future.
