Christy's team of Philippe and Summer… Christy's team of Philippe and Summer were amazing! Our trip to Provence was all we had hoped for and more. The itineraries were filled with opportunities to explore the art, culture, history, and food/wine of the area. It was wonderful to arrive and just lean in to all that Provence has to offer. We felt so well cared for!

France Off the Beaten Path-Provence We can not thank France Off the Beaten Path for an amazing time in Provence enough. Philippe and David were wonderful. We enjoyed the vineyard walks, the villages, and the food. Making chocolate with Joel Durand was incredible. The cooking class with Catherine magnificent. Came home and made the ratatouille! This was our fourth time with France Off the Beaten Path-Burgundy, Loire, Bordeaux, and now Provence. Highly recommend any of their amazing tours. Look forward to going with them again. Fun, Food and Champagne! This is my second visit to Reims and Epernay, but my first with Christy Destremau, Owner of France...Off the Beaten Path. With Christy’s expert guidance, her knowledge of Champagne and her friendships with Michelin Star Chefs and other gourmet experts, this trip is one of my top three all time favorites. My love of Champagne was my reason for going; however, I also knew that Christy is the consummate entrepreneur, has a vast knowledge of France and of course Champagne, a vault of the best local contacts, and a love of life and people; therefore, this trip would be unparalleled with any other. One cannot possibly travel with Christy and not have the best time ever!! We toured the caves and tasted the best Champagne in Reims and Epernay - well, at least 4 of the very best (and one extra)! We sampled/tasted the creme de la creme of Champagnes - prior to purchasing a bottle (or several). After the tour had ended, my friend Jacquie and I remained in Reims an extra day and night with Christy - and to our amazement and surprise, Christy obtained a private tasting and tour for the three of us at the oldest wine House in Champagne, Gosset, established in 1584. By the 20th Century, Gosset became one of the most prestigious Champagne Houses. And I must say, it was out of this world!! I highly recommend France...Off the Beaten Path and Christy Destremau to anyone who loves Champagne, wants to love Champagne, or is uncertain about Champagne! Do not hesitate to go to Reims and Epernay with Christy (or for that matter, any of her fun tours). You will leave Reims and Epernay full from gourmet meals, the best ever Champagne, and the best friend ever!!! This was my 6th trip with Christy and France...Off the Beaten Path, and I am already dreaming of 2024!!

A Week in Provence A great fun week in Provence with Christy and our very capable guides, Phillipe and David. A wide range of activities, walking, fine dining, wine tasting, cooking classes and chocolate making. Our fellow travelers were all from the US and just the nicest people. The Cassis trip was a little long and may have benefited from a group lunch and slightly earlier departure time. Hotel Gounod was, for us, with a large bedroom, rustic and enjoyable, though, as Kiwis, we missed the opportunity to make a hot tea brew in our room, as there was no in room kettle. Minor points though, that did not detract from our overall enjoyment.

Ahhhhh Provence! Ahhhhh, Provence!!! Made ever so splendid when we were so delightedly taken under the funny and knowledgeable wings of Phillippe and David! Our merry tribe of travelers were introduced to this gem of a region where we sipped, supped, ran, walked and saw a place that will always remain dear to our hearts. The 6 days were quite wondrous in every regard, with dellightful Sophie each morning at breakfast to the final glass of wine each evening..... Many, many thanks Lynn Bushee and traveling chum Deb Vargo
