A History Lovers Dream Take this tour if you love French history, wine and cuisine. Knowledgeable guides painted pictures of life when French kings built chateaux and lived in the Loire Valley. Distinguished chefs gave delightful cooking lessons and created wonderful meals. Tastings of chocolate and wine were an added treat. This is a trip we will always remember fondly.

This is a wonderful tour This is a wonderful tour, the result of extensive planning. The meals were exquisite. A full schedule of activities, and alternate activities were available, and the guides gave us flexibility as possible. The hikes were fantastic, varied in scenery and rigor. Philippe was amazing as a guide, very caring and thoughtful. It’s clear as you move through town that he is well respected. The only thing holding this tour back from five stars is one adolescent guide who blathers on, tells awful jokes, and laughs at himself-it gets old.

Ahhhhh Provence! Ahhhhh, Provence!!! Made ever so splendid when we were so delightedly taken under the funny and knowledgeable wings of Phillippe and David! Our merry tribe of travelers were introduced to this gem of a region where we sipped, supped, ran, walked and saw a place that will always remain dear to our hearts. The 6 days were quite wondrous in every regard, with dellightful Sophie each morning at breakfast to the final glass of wine each evening..... Lovely 5 days Lovely 5 days. One hotel and reasonable pace of activities, not to mention the perfect weather made for an enjoyable " tour". Highlights were wine tasting and lunch in Chateau Neuf de Pape and swimming in the sea in the pretty town of Cassis. Despite how close to perfect it all was I still find the cost to be very high. I guess my Canadian dollar doesn't go very far!

Fantastic time Fantastic time. Loved everything we did - even the heat! Having to eat fabulous food & drink even better wines - a highlight 😊 David & Philippe looked after us extremely well & kept us entertained- thank you, it was so much fun - even the jokes 😁😁 Hotel Gounud looked after us extremely well - loved the pool at the end of the day not to mention the air conditioning 👌 Would highly recommend Off the Beaten Path & looking forward to receiving the recipes from the cooking class & also the pictorial evidence of our time in Provence. 😘
