The trip wildly exceeded my expectations. Our wonderful guide and driver met us at the dock in St. Petersburg and from that moment on we were whisked around the sights and museums of this beautiful city. Our hotel was attractive and comfortable and served an impressive buffet breakfast. In the evening we walked around the neighborhood, enjoyed cappuccinos and chatting with staff at a cute cafe, consulted with the owner of a restaurant about the menu, and of course checked out the shops. (One thing we failed to do was to carry some Russian currency…..so sadly, we weren’t able to patronize the adorable red and black polka dot coffee truck….cash only!)

Trip to Russia Trip to Moscow and St. Petersburg was excellent. Enjoyed it immensely. Never beem on a tour where I was the only participant. HOTELS - Hotels were both modern first class establishments with English-speaking staff, good restaurants, in walking distance to major tourist attractions. FOOD - I guess I was expecting boiled potatoes and cabbage, so I found the food delicious, especially in St. Petersburg. First time for blini, palmini, borscht, and kvass among other treats. GUIDES - Alexey in Moscow was an excellent guide, knowledgeable, professional, very good English. My Guide in St. Petersburg, Masha, was a treasure. Very pleasant to be with. Introduced me to traditional Russian food. Made my brief stay in St. Petersburg very enoyable. Can't say enough about Masha. OVERALL - A great trip.
