GBEvery detail was thought out Every detail was thought out. The naturalists were not just knowledgeable, they were great fun. Staff was skilled and friendly, food was very good; my cabin, indeed the whole ship, was spotless. I’m not a cruise person but I ‘d recommend their trip to Antarctica to anyone.

GBTrips used to be better Trips used to be better - too many travelers who have done many trips with company - they get special treatment (private fishing w/zodiac and crew, invites to the staff dinner table, etc.), newbies are discounted or ignored. It is very 'clubby'. New staff are girlfriends of existing staff (PDA, lost sunglasses/earrings drama; one girlfriend was excellent, the other was marginal), existing staff 'forget' sunscreen and get burned/complained. Staff has become 'clubby' as well. Too bad, used to be a great experience, now it's way too much money for a marginal experience with the 'in crowd'. Felt like it was high school all over again with a gigantic price tag. Also the souvenir 'coffee table' book is now just a coffee table pamphlet....cheap.

ZAI have been on four expeditions I have been on four expeditions. Enjoyed all of them. Main reasons: 1. Highly informative. Top lecturers. 2. Very well travelled co-passengers. 3. Well appointed ship. Good food and service. Criticism 1. Quite expensive. 2. Too skewed toward USA clients. Eg. in the marketing material they always refer to departure from USA and not home. It makes non US clients as second hand citizens. Simple adjustments can expand their market.

SETrue Expedition travel The best part about my expedition to the Arctic was the expedition staff/guides. They made the he most of our environment, each day seeing what conditions were like and planning the day accordingly. If conditions changed they would do everything to get us out there experience the amazing environment and wildlife. You never know when a blue whale might show up!I loved the unexpected thrills of what was unknown out in the arctic environment. I can’t wait to go somewhere with Zegrahms again.

GBA smaller company with big service ~~~ A seemingly small company which means personable service --- they know your nsne & circumstances when you call. My parents were booked for a cruise on a huge line several years ago. My father passed away and the cruise company gave us hell for wanting to change the reservation into my sister's name. With Zegrahm, I asked if we could change a member of our group right before departing; I was told yes. That's a benefit of dealing with a smaller company.
